I have a set on order. What is it you’re on the fence about? I’ll be unloading KO2 which was OK at best.

    Ha, KO2 is garbage IMHO.
    I went through 10 in about 3 or so months - terrible quality control/mfg process/ or ??p

I think they rely way too much on their "history" and need to focus much more on their present and future.

I was pretty happy with them out of the gate (aside from noise - they are actually pretty loud IMO. I'm not the only person mentioning them being on the loud side per the other thread and SM).

As I continue to wear through, the less "happy" and more "same as every other tire" I feel.

I feel the same about Warn winches. Or Surefire flashlights. The name is associated with a higher price but other companies have caught up to your technology or surpassed it.

    This.

I never understood the fascination with mpg threads when these trucks cost $40k and lots of owners are dropping several thousand $ on mods. Might need to review your financial situation if you are worried about a couple mpg up or down while owning a $40k vehicle.

I don't waste my time worrying about it, calculating it at every fill up, or trying to drive like a granny.

My set is obnoxious - personally. Strong dislike, especially as we wear further along. Much louder than any of the tires from my list below.

I have owned the following thus far on my tundra (might have forgotten one set I think)...

    Stock
    Yoko Geolander ATS
    Cooper AT3
    Cooper ST Maxx
    KO2
    Toyota ATIII

From the more aggressive sets, Maxx was by far my favorite. From the more mild, I liked the Geolanders enough to put them on the wife's mom-mobile.

Interesting. My Firestone’s are wearing out like cheap slippers. I’ll likely be buying tires on Black Friday.

The ATIII was a consideration, but probably no longer so.

Leaning very hard towards the Falken Wild Peak AT3/W in a 275/70R18.

these are the deal- 30k on my set and they still look new, are balanced, and drive great.

Thing is, have you all noticed the steep price increase in tires lately?!

That is a very different result than what I have. I had the Cooper AT3 XLT in 285/75R18 and now have the Toyo ATIII in the same size. My TRD duel exhaust is louder than both of them and they are almost identical tires. Windows down and going from stop to 70mph the wind noise or exhaust is louder than either tire.

Thanks. I wasn’t going to change my decision but it’s nice to get a second opinion. I’ve read quite a few reviews now and most say the road noise isn’t bad at all.
I’m excited to get them installed.

You’re the first I’ve read of this. Is it the most recent set you’ve used? If so, you probably have wheel bearing(s) going out, thinking it’s the tires. The sound of loud tires and front wheel bearing(s) going out are identical.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. We sell them at my shop. I do almost anything to steer customers into Cooper. Nitto. Toyo. Anything but BFG. I could tell stories about tires being out of round... brand new...

I drove in on quiet KO2s, drove out with ATIII and excessive tire noise.

If you read the ATIII thread - other people experiences are similar to mine. You are free to check out their social media as well where some have commented on their new tires being loud.

Edited - not Maxx, it was KO2
