So you removed the handles from the truck and taped around the bumper end caps. Did you remove the grille and bulge surround and tape around the mirror caps or did you remove them both?

I did remove the handles, yes. Super easy.
Make sure you put them propped up on screws on a board so that you can get the back side, otherwise your hands will pull the dip off during regular use.

    Taped bumper, yes.

I taped the grill and surround.
The bug guard was a pre-matte piece.
It is pretty easy, but a bit time consuming to tape the grill, but worth it.

When I had mirror caps on my old truck, I would just tape them. They see a lot of wear, so I had to do them a few times.
The plastic pieces in the mirrors caps are pretty easy to break when removing, so I would suggest taping.

This thread really has me in a tough spot... I've been undoing a lot of my Plasti dip for various reasons - dealership messed up the black on my grille insert when I had the PCS recall done, rock chips on my bumper caps, dealership sprayed something that was not dip-friendly on my wheels and discolored them... Now I'm wanting to go back and do it all over again. :smash:
