Lost Profile

I wonder what else "they" can render inoperative via remote.

 

No way! I thought I was fighting some weird quirk.

I didn't notice anything with my Toyota/Truck Profile (but I wasnt looking for that); but at 4:30 PST yesterday when I started my truck after work, all of my Radio Presets were RESET to Factory settings? I thought it was some glitch because I used the FOB remote start feature (which I rarely use) and it commanded some reset? I tried to recreate the reset by using the FOB start feature later in the night and it did not repeat the reset.

Looks like I was not alone yesterday.

profile was there, but was completely blank. Had to re-bind my truck to my app and reset all my settings.

 

Realized this morning I had no presets as well and whenever I clicked the screen heard an audible tone that I normally wouldn't hear. Profile wasn't connected either. Never thought it was a wide scale thing...

 

Update just got into my truck and all my presets are back the way it was before.

 

Glad I found this, thought my battery may have died or loose connection. Lost custom settings and radio presets but profile appears to be fine. Now I'll have to spend quality time in the truck to reconfigure it all.

 

I don't think so. They way she described all of it the issues concerned the profile. The million dollar question is what is exactly saved in the profile (aka what do we have to fix ourselves now?)

 

Questions:

1. Does the truck determine the profile by which Key FOB is used to unlock and start the truck? Or, is it determined by the phone that is connected?
2. Does the profile actually store Radio Presets, or are radio presets independent of the profile?

The FOB because you can link a FOB to the profile (in one of the settings on the screen in the truck)

As far as I can tell, the radio presets are local and not stored in the cloud profile as support told me I would have to re-enter them.

 

Lost profile yesterday and early this morning. Got back in truck at noon today and everything back to normal

He’s completely analog.

 

Whether or not radio presets are local doesn't seem to matter because once the Toyota servers crapped out yesterday, all of our profiles got lost and so did the radio presets.

I'm about to go drive to work now and fingers crossed that my profile and presets are back to normal now.

 

I hope you're ok too. Its a PIA. But there's worse things I guess.
