Has anyone tried the catalytic converters from Rockauto? AP/Eastern Catalytic I believe.

my experiance with them on my uncles 04 tundra has been "good luck after 6 months" seriously.. throwing codes on and off after 6 months of being on the truck.. for BOTH banks

the magnaflows on my 01 tacoma were good for 3 years before they no longer made the ecu happy

Not the best of news, but I can live with having to replace cats every 3 years. Maybe in 3 years something will be done about theft and supply. I'm not holding my breath, but I can hope.

It'll have to do until my CA approved cat comes in. It had a ETA of 12/23....that passed....now end of February...until that passes . It's been since early July

Did you order the OEM cats through the dealer, or an independent shop?

My truck was at the shop my dealer towed it to to have some bodywork done. So the dealer is paying for the cats and has been paying for my rental. I’m just f’n tired of driving a POS Dodge Ram. I actually received the passenger side cat a few weeks ago. Can’t understand how the don’t make them in pairs…..

My factory catalytic converters are no longer on order. The repair shop called and said they couldn't keep a repair order open that long since I only put down a partial deposit. They said that an open repair order required the truck to be on their lot until it was closed out. I had my choice of paying the remainder of the cost, or receiving a refund. I can't swing the remaining cost right now, so I chose the refund. Hopefully, Lady Luck will smile on me and the Magnaflow's will hold up.

Well, not the solution I had anticipated, but I have my truck back!

Toyota agreed to putting on temporary aftermarket cats until such time as they decide to make more OEM ones. Warranty will not be affected. So far, 50 km and no codes. Toyota says that if the o2 sensors are OEM, they shouldn't throw codes. We shall see. They will replace with OEM cats when they are available. Apparently, the dealers are all starting to do this. My situation is a bit different than some, as the body shop where they were stolen is covering all costs...

But boy, it's good to be driving a Tundra again!!!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it. But these are 1/4" thick and really stiffened the frame up to a more noticeable planted ride.

Aaand... Toyota just called and said the OEM cats arrived... Not complaining. Next week, my baby will be whole again!
