I hate to have to say things like this because I feel like I come across sounding liek a jerk. But everyone and their brother always offers to take free/cheap product. I could give away stuff all day and all night. But I have to make a living too. I employ a very well trained welder that does great work, I have to keep him paid so he can keep his wife and daughter fed. I just can't afford to give things away. We're your local fab shop, willing and able to do anything. But they wouldn't do it for free and I can't afford to do it either. Sorry.

I know that *most* people know and understand. Some people don't though. I get emails every week from people asking for stuff. "I have this great idea for a product, everyone's going to want to buy it, you'll make so much money and you can use my truck to build it" always with the implication that they won't be charged. I did that once or twice and it never worked out they way it was supposed to. I always end up on the short end of the stick. So I just can't do that stuff anymore and have to say things like that up front.

As far as lead times this is an unusual time of year. If this were 2 months ago there would have already been 10 ready to go in the amount of time it's been since Cody brang his truck in. Right now we're gearing up for a trip to Windrock Park in Tennessee that we make every year in the middle of September with the Nissan crowd that I make parts for.Fun trip, great park highly recommended if you can get there.

We're working towards having everything in place to make our first production run of sliders and steps the last week of September. Then it will be about 7-10 days after that to get them powder coated, packed and ready to ship.

I do plan on offering 10% off what our MSRP will be for pre-sales for this production run.

I have the Nfabs and they seem to be built well. I can pass my experience along. I had chrome before and the age broke the chrome finish off in sections and it looked like crap when I offloaded. Black sealed tubes with the rubber top step are very prone to getting water inside and they rust from the inside out. My step dad has rusted out two now since 2004 when he bought his truck. The Nfabs tube is open on both ends to help it stay dry inside and theres no rubber to rot with the weather. My wife doesnt like the Nfabs because the front step is too far forward. I have grown used to it though.

Sorry I'm at work right now and don't have a lot of different pics of my bars. I can try and get you some up to date ones asap.

as for how much, I don't quite remember but I think it was under $400 before shipping cost. Stainless steel is going to cost you more.

I don't do a whole lot of trail running or anything to where I'd really need sliders, but I'd be interested in getting some of those for my DC down the road. I dig the tucked up look.

I'm definitely interested. I love my Body Armor Rock Steps, but they are not attached to the frame. Very rugged, but I would certainly consider a frame mounted version of what I have.

I just looked up the Body Armor Rock Steps. I don't think I will be frenching in steps like that. That is an insane amount of work for the small batch operation that I have. Thinking something more like this style:

To update, we've done a couple pairs of sliders now, have a jig and have another tundra coming in tomorrow to finalize our jigs and verify parts run in the jig will work. We will be trying to get some pics of a pair made up as steps instead of sliders.

Would love to. Will need a truck at the shop for test fit. Would be able to start putting some together with measurements.

I like the sliders, but after looking at the two pics it seems that I would need wheel and tires, pro grill and surround and a lift to make it look the part

Had our 3rd and final test fit truck in the shop today. Didn't have time to get a set of steps bolt. Hope to have them ready and test fit when he comes back to pick up his sliders after powder coat.

Other than styling the step down we are ready to sell them.

    Yep, no problem at all.

Thought you wanted step downs not the sliders?
