Wow, nice find. Good maintenance done. The timing belt saves at least a grand right there, nevermind all the other work and tires which probably totals at least another couple G's. What color is it? I'd like to see a pic sometime soon :)

I guess it shouldn't surprise me that they don't negotiate much because they know somebody out there will want a nice big truck with a V8 that is dead reliable, even if it clearly has mechanical issues.

See, all those specs are exactly what I'm looking for (a truck HAS to have a bench seat!), although I've warmed up to the 4.6 for better gas mileage, a bit more power, and (fingers crossed that everyone on here is correct when they say they've never seen a stretched chain) no timing belt to deal with. Still would love a 4.7 because the UZ family is legendary.

Excellent idea telling them you're only interested in paying the advertised price OTD. Sales tax (not sure where you are but here it's about 10%) and all the BS fees are a pain. Very good suggestion.

Hoping you get tons and tons of trouble-free miles in your new rig, although one doesn't need to hope with that glorious 4.7. It just goes and goes.

EDIT: I see your truck. Not sure how I missed it (I need some coffee obviously lol it's early) but damn, that is beautiful. Are those chrome door handles? Love that! Goes extremely well with the dark blue paint.

I think I test drove around 3, a nice 2020 TRD that they wanted like 40K for, a 2016 with high mileage they wanted like 26K for, Liked the trucks, higher than I wanted to pay. I tested offering 4k below asking for both.. they wouldn't budge... I walked away. You kind of have to look at a few to get a feel for what they're costing. I found it seems to be "mostly" about the miles, with a "modifier" for the age. They'll push "there aren't many out there" etc. Just have to always be ready to "walk away from the deal". They aren't "that" scarce... unless you want something very specific. To me I pulled the trigger because they were confident enough in the truck to sink all those repairs into it and feel they'd get their money out of it.
