I am new to this truck lifting thing and I wanted to get some suggestions/feedback as I am looking to lift my 21 Tundra Army Green SR5, but having a hard time deciding between spending higher money on Fox 2.5 Res or going more of Icon stage 1 coilover route. I also have been looking at the RC Vertex 3.5 kit. It is mainly daily driver, some towing and occasional trail run.

Also, would the truck look funny lifting it 3" with stock tires?

    Thanks for your help!

    Welcome friend.

Yes a 3 inch lift with stock shoes would look odd.

Lots of good posts in here talking about what your asking. I'd search (search function) in this section and see what others jave said.

If you can afford the Fox with resis, do that— buy once, cry once. Yes you’re lift with stock tires will make it look like your ankles are skinny, but waiting to get big tires when you’ve worn down tread is a good money decision… that’ll help you justify those Fox coilovers with resis. :)

P.S. Fox and Icon are pretty different. One helps you with big bumps, the other, all the little washboard bumps. Read a bit more on this forum to learn more, so you choose best for how you’ll use the truck.
