2006 Tundra Limited V8. I want to replace stock single exhaust with a single muffler resonater combo that wont brake the bank. I'm looking for something loud but not crazy. Anybody got any ideas?

I paid a little over $200 for a local shop to weld a pipe in place for the resonator and a factory style replacement muffler.

Didn't do it on this truck but the longer Thrush glass packs don't sound bad when you leave the tail pipe in place.

I looked at dirtydeedsindustries.com. They had some cool stuff but i really want something cheap i can bolt on myself. My last Tundra I cut off the factory muffler and replaced it with a Thrush glasspack. Left the factory resonator on. It sounded ok. I want to replace both this time and get a louder sound without the drone.

Then get a 40 or 50 series muffler and make your own resonator. Can forgo the resonator and just cut off the tail pipe on the downturn after the axle.
