I also have a set of bars that clip to the tailgate and let it ride at a 45* angle. That comes in handy when hauling more than one bike.

I’m actually headed to the track right now.

I'm jealous. Knee injury has me out until next season.

    Have fun!

    Great to hear!

Looks like you had some great track conditions too! It's been raining a lot here so all the tracks are a muddy mess.

We have also been getting tons of rain, but somehow today was pretty dry. The track I rode has lot of sand which definitely helps.

I'm so jealous as well. Last night I ordered all my riding gear, new shock spring, spark arrestor cap. Very soon.

    Knee braces, and ramp next.

Not me. I'll turn my bike sideways like you. I like having the tailgate closed when driving down dirt roads. Rock chips on tailgates just suck.

The Tundra tailgates are pretty tough. Both of my Tacoma trucks had bent tailgates due to MX bikes rear tires bouncing on them. I had no choice but to put the bikes sideways after new tailgates.

See how it is after some long rides and tight clutch burning corners. ;)

I really am impressed how Roger DeCoster and Ryan Dungey could turn KTM into such a dominant bike in the time that they've been there. DeCoster has always been good at the job, but it took forever for Suzuki to listen to him. KTM was smart and listened to him immediately.

Yeah, but plenty of times I have 2 bikes back there. Whether they are mine, or my girlfriends, or a buddy’s. Would be nice to fit both bikes in straight and have the tailgate up.

I’ve currently got 2 dirt scooters with a 3rd on the way in the next couple months.

    My 16 KX450F

My 13 YZ250 for when I feel like smoking.

And the plan is to get a 19 KX250F once I have all the funds together. I also am on the hunt for an older 125 to bring back to life. Kind of have a soft spot for the steel frame CR125, but I am open to pretty much any of them.

I would seriously consider a 3 rail trailer if you have the room. I will most likely be buying one and tow it with my car. I see them cheap all the time on CL.

I have a 6’x10’ landscape trailer I use a lot. But I don’t always want to tow a trailer. I am probably gonna but a 14’ V nose enclosed at some point. I towed my buddies recently on a trip we went on. Had 3 big bikes in the trailer and two pit bikes in the bed. Had tons of room and my truck handled it really well. I have a 4.6 so I’m more limited with towing. But this did great even in the PA hills. It’s got an aluminum frame which definitely helps, so I’ll be on the hunt for one of those rather than steel. And the tandem axle was way more stable at speed. Plus brakes are nice.

Pretty much the only place in PA right now is Breezewood Proving Grounds. But I want to make it out to High Point and Rocket City at some point.

Mostly I ride in VA, MD, and WV. So South Fork, Whittens MX, Budds Creek, Wicomico, and Tomahawk are my regular spots. Gonna be heading to NCMP this coming Sunday, and then back to Breezewood the week after.

There’s a bunch of tracks south of me I’ve been wanting to hit. Planning on a winter road trip to South of the Border and Club MX.

Oh damn Josh, you’re all set then. I wish that I had this setup. The Tundra will pull that load without even breathing hard. I took a spin in a 4.6L Tundra a while back and it did well. It was also in stock configuration.

I’m at crossroads on my whole setup:

    - I can be the retard hauling a 232 lb XC bike in a 1 ton diesel. Keep all other trailers (Flatbed for Jeep and TH for XC bike for extended stay.)
    - I can buy a cheap 3 rail trailer, install a hidden hitch on my car, tow that when appropriate. Still look like a retard. Sell TH and keep flatbed for Jeep.

    What I want to do:

Sell TH, sell flatbed, purchase a 27-28’ gooseneck enclosed race trailer. Keep rock crawler and motorcycle inside trailer unless maintenance is needed. Day trips would suck tugging around such a big trailer.

Maybe I should be looking at something like what you have.

It’s a real nice place. 3 tracks, cabins to rent, RV hook ups, a shower house, a pond with a water slide and high dive, and Dan is really good with prep. Only downside is sometimes a bunch of quads are there so that can get dicey at times. But otherwise it’s one of my favorite spots. We were there last weekend and rented a cabin. Nice to pull off the track and have AC, a clean bathroom and a shower all to yourself.

Yeah that setup is awesome, I hope to get a trailer like that for next season. If I do I’m gonna put an AC on top and make a poor mans toy hauler. I can make do with cots and a camping shower to clean off with. It’s also why I don’t plan to lift my truck or put bigger tires on. Don’t want to kill it’s usability just to look cooler.

Honestly my dream rig is a 2500/3500HD and a gooseneck toy hauler. But that’s probably not gonna be feasible until I’m a bit older older and better paid. Haha

I have these same straps, love them!

I use these Rev Arc steps https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1014/62666/revarc-Smart-Steps

It goes in your trailer hitch, when done you can put your tailgate up and it folds in half vertically, you can drive with it in the hitch. The ramp the same company sells is only good for up to 500LB but you can use any ramp. With a street bike it might be better to have a full width ramp just because of the weight and trying to push it up.

I can kind of tell on your other photo, but is your front tire at an angle in the corner or pushed up forward against the front? I tried tying my bike down with the front at an angle jammed in the corner but when I tightened the straps it just pulled the bike back and the front tire wasn't touching anymore. Do you have to jam the rear against the side of the bed to keep it put?

Nice bikes btw, I'm highly biased towards Yamaha 2 strokes .
