I'm looking to trade up into a newer Tundra (2016 or newer).

Don't want the TRD Pro, as I have plans to modify the vehicle after purchase.
I do want heated seats because the winters are cold where I live. The newer Limited Tundra's (and higher trim levels) are the only ones that come with heated seats, but they also come with a whole bunch gadgets that I don't want: blind spot monitoring, traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, ect. All those features add complexity and take away from the Tundra's towing and payload capabilities (however slightly).

I'd really prefer to have the SR5 with a TRD off-road package and some heated seats, but for some odd reason Toyota doesn't offer heated seats for the SR5's. What are my options?

Can you buy the OEM heated seats and add them to a lower trim truck? What are the aftermarket options and how complex is the installation process?

Buy heating elements and switches. Install the pads yourself, or have an upholstery shop do it.

Check out csuviper 2019 sport build. He added katskins.

    How is that?

I thought the SR5's didn't come with heated seats?

I purchased a limited without all the gadgets, only major differences were heated seats and the "marriage saver" dual zone auto climate control, maybe some security stuff too but didnt matter to me. Other than that I would have gone with sr5 if price difference wasnt so close and put in katskinz myself for $550 off ebay. You can purchase limited without convenience package and trd if you are going to modify heavily. Should be a few thousand more vs well optioned sr5. Check out the seats in limited too, some find them too stiff.

That's odd. When you go on the Toyota website to build your vehicle, the Limited Premium package (which includes all the parking sensors and other fancy gadgets) seems to be assigned by default to the Limited trim level. You can add the TRD off-road package in addition to the Limited Premium, but you can't get the truck without the Limited premium....at least on the website.

Toyota's build site is based off of current inventory in your area. I would try a different zip code and see what you get.

I just added leather and heated front and rear. Under $700, and looks amazing. Only took a few days. Would have been even quicker if it wasn’t for the rain.

TRD dual exhaust, Rough Country lift kit and too much money spent.
I got a 2018 Limited and it doesn't have all the gadgets. Just find one that doesn't have the Limited premium package. Mine isn't the TRD either.
