Have a deposit on both 1) a 2021 Tundra limited with the nightshade package w/the 20 inch limited wheels black (basically a limited w/out the off-road package but sleek coloring and wheels) and 2) a 2021 limited with the TRD off road package w/ the 18 inch wheels

I drive mostly highway but do hit the mountains quite a bit where we get a lot of snow in upstate ny. Share your vote pls option 1 or 2 and offer comments on why. Thanks.

For me it would be the Nightshade as well as some 18” black wheels thrown into the purchase.

Nightshade for me. Then you wouldn't have to get rid of the chrome.

I am kinda particular, but nightshade for sure. I also considered the TRD in white, but luckily for me it sold the night before I went in to seal the deal.

Why didn’t Toyota put the black headlights in the Nightshade Tundra? Those two truck need to swap headlights.

I would do the Nightshade all day.

I'm partial to the TRD OR because I have one and love it. If you like less chrome, nightshade seems to be the best choice, but I don't know the cost of 18" wheels, off road tires, OR shocks, skid plates, etc. v. de-chrome. I'm sure both would be great trucks.

I have a limited TRD Off-road, but I would pick Limited Nightshade, since is unique only for 2021.

The 18s look better to me and will ride better than 20s.

Funny enough, color matching the chrome on the second truck will be more expensive than buying new wheels for the first. I'd do the nightshade just to have the color matching done.

Exactly this. Hell, you could probably find some stock Toyota 18’s free. If not, they’d be pretty cheap. Stock Toyota wheels are really easy to come by. I just gave away some Platinum 20’s.

CPL- why do think the 18s ride better? My current tundra has them and they ride good but I’ve always heard the 20s are better on the road.

I have had both types of tires and 18s are more forgiving due to a higher sidewall. I like the looks of the nightshade, but the ride of the 18's.

Adam- can you run higher sidewalk tires on the 20 inch rims? Like a 275 60 20 vs 275 55 20

More sidewall to soak up bumps. 20s may be better on road but 18s will be better off road. Thought you said you wanted to do some off roading.

You can, but you get less sidewall with 20's before you need to do a lift if that makes sense...because the 18" start out with more sidewall to begin with.
