Think I'd take the truck and ask for extended warranty or some dealer add ons. You can always put aftermarket black leather seat covers in it. But you know better what will make you happiest in the long run. But what happens if you reorder and don't get the truck you want or the truck gets delayed and production doesn't happen. With all the production delays and time to retool assembly lines for 22s, something to consider.

If it were me I would see how much they would knock off the price or see what add-on's you could get. Unless you think you will really regret it then I would have them deliver on exactly what you requested. You are paying a lot of money for it not to be exactly what you want.

$1k off over the life of a loan is something but still barely noticeable each month. So if you are going with the factory seats and no covers get the color you wanted. With that said if you can get some money off from the dealer, I really like the idea someone mentioned earlier of installing the Clazzio seat covers. They can provide your color choices and they look great in the threads I have seen on this forum.

I might be alone on this, but it seems weird to buy a car with leather seats (limited) and then put leather seat covers over your leather seats.

Makes total sense if it was like a graphite SR5 or something.

Original poster here. Long past the kids and pets stage of life. We do have a precious 3 year old grand daughter but she rarely rides in my current truck (2007 Tacoma). I ordered the double cab in cavalry because I’m red/green color blind but see blue very well. For me, however, the big issue with exterior colors, at least here in East Tennessee, is that there are tons of magnetic gray, silver, and cement Tundras; and I don’t do black or white. My 1989 pre-Tacoma is Barcelona red and my 07 Tacoma is radiant red. So, I’m just wanting to change to something a little less common that isn’t red. If they can get a build date on their exterior color changed (ie, white to cavalry blue) Tundra Limited w/TRD Offroad and the black leather, and a delivery date before April 1st, then I’ll likely wait the additional month. If they can’t make that happen, then I’ll probably take the truck that will arrive in two weeks with the wrong color (ie, graphite) leather. If that is the path I go down, I’ll ask them to install the performance tuned pro exhaust package at no charge as that should be worth about a grand. Incidentally, I still have the 89 pre-Tacoma. It has been to Oregon and back three times, and resides in a comfortable shop bldg. at my farm in Georgia, when not in use around the place - why buy an expensive side by side, right. Odometer reads 256,00 miles and nothing but oil changes, gear shift bushings, and one change of CV axles. The 07 Red Tacoma with 226,000 miles, is already sold to my dentist for use on his farm here in Tennessee. If you treat then right they just don’t wear out. I hope this Tundra performs as well. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts on this dilemma.

Are you looking for a deal or a specific color. If you want black and you get graphite 100K won't change graphite to black. wait for the black and be done with it.
