    Hey Guys,

So I bought a rough country lite bar and it came with a wiring harness, and the instructions have me directly wiring to the battery (see attached). That can't be right - Seems like I'd want to attach the positive to something that turns off when the vehicle is off. Any recommendations for thoughts?

Your switch will be the on/off control for the light. Looks like you'd be able to use the light regardless if the vehicle was on or off.

Yea, mine is wired straight to battery as well. Can turn the light bar on with the truck off, as well as the ditch lights. I Just cut the push button switch the harness comes with off and wired an OEM style light bar switch in and run it in a blank spot on my dash next to to my ditch light switch.

Both of mine are wired up pretty much how RC shows except o didn’t use their switch. I used a custom Toyota switch that go right into an empty switch spot on the dash. Looks factory on the switch also. You could wire it up directly to batt, or fuse box. Or a key on engine off location if you wanted to.
