    Hey Everyone,

So I am planning out my lift for my new (to me) truck. My truck is a 2017 Crewmax Platinum and the main focus of my plans to is go taller without changing the feel of the ride too far from stock. I owned a Tacoma back in the day and landed on Maxtrac 3.5" Spindles primarily because from what I could gather it is the healthiest lift for a truck given all the geometry does not change. So I figured I would do the same for this truck. My 2013 Tundra I just sold had a 3" spacer lift on it and I know many people despise spacer lifts but it wasnt as terrible as they sound.... granted never went offroading too much with the truck.

SO my new plans are that I just picked up a set of Maxtrac Spindles for a steal and I plan to follow up the rear with a 1.5" Shackle. I do like the front to have a slightly higher rake then the rear. Then I will jump up to 35x12.50x20 Tires

Wanted to see what everyone thought about this idea if anyone has had any issues or bad experiences with spindle lifts for the Tundra.

Also I do know the Maxtrac spindles come with extended brake from the manufacturer because they typically see people do the spindle with a spacer on top for a 4"+ total lift but since I am sticking with the 3.5" lift of the spindle alone do I really need to put extended brake lines in?

    OPEN TO ALL YOUR FEEDBACK!

I have Maxtrac 4 inch lift on my Tacoma and couldn't be happier with the product. I considered doing the same on the Tundra and still may at some point. You may need to do a new leaf pack or shackle in the rear. I would change the brake lines while you are there. Spray a lubricant to make removal easy. The main thing in doing this is to take the time and don't rush. When I did my Tacoma we did leaf pack, shocks, etc. It took about two days.

Called Toytec to get some lines on order and they just told me the only time they see the need for extended lines on a Tundra is long travel applications. The gentleman on the phone stated that because there is not going to be a gain in droop there is no need to swap out the lines. I know CST's lift spindles do not come with brake lines either.

Are you adding wheel spacers to the tires?

The spindles will automatically kick the front wheels out and I already have a decent offset on my wheels so I will not run any wheel spacers.

I believe you have to add spacers in order to clear the spindle.

I have aftermarket wheels with a -12 offset I will have no issues clearing the spindle
