Hey everyone, I need some advice on what grill to put on my 2018 SR5 Crewmax. The TRD Pro grill is what I want to swap it with because I'm not really feeling the new grill. Problem is, the emblem having the crash avoidance/cruise control sensor may cause dash light/inspection issues. My alternative is the platinum grill, color matched. Just want some opinions on what would look better and if going with the TRD Pro would be worth it.

Second, lift kits! I want to put a 4" lift on it to fit some 20x12.5 fuel hostage wheels, 35" A/T tires. I don't know much about lift kits, but I do know cheaper probably means poorer quality. I found a Readylift kit for $999
    (https://www.readylift.com/4-f-2-r-sst-lift-kit-toyota-tundra-2007-2018.html)

and a 4" tuff country kit for around $600
    (https://www.suspensionconnection.co...MIrY7r-ouY2AIVhbXACh1_EgHGEAQYASABEgJqifD_BwE)

I'd prefer tuff country since it's cheaper, but like I said... I don't know much about lift kits so the extra $400 could be worth it.

I picture having that TRD Pro grill (color matched because chrome isn't my thing), 4" lift and 35" tires. I'm living in Alaska and shipping costs are ridiculous ($850 to ship the wheels) so it's taking away from the lift expenses considering installation cost. Help me out, please.

20x12 and 35s will rub with only 4" lift. It' the wheel offset that will hurt you. People running 6" lift with that set up rub. I almost went with the tuff country, but the spacer lift rides rougher.

I went with the 4" tuff country for the cost but both kits will put extra angle/wear on your CV joints in the long run. As for rub I did have some in the front wheel well and just used a heat gun with the help of a 2×4. Have 20" rims and tires had outside diameter 34.8 I believe. 20170815_184237.jpg
For the grill I'm trying stay under the wifes radar for a bit but will go with the pro in time.

I love the TRD Pro grille, but everyone has that. Get the platinum and make it one of a kind! Also, you can probably find a platinum that someone has taken off to put on a TRD Pro and get it for cheap...that's what I did.

I've got the BDS 4.5 in lift with 35x12.5/18 on 18x10 rims with -24 offset. No rubbing issues. The lift is 2k or close to 4k with the coilovers but the ride is amazing. There are a few of us running the BDS lifts here and I think all are happy.
I personally like the new grill, I would lift and tires first and grill later. You might end up liking it.

Those lifts are garbage. Don't waste your money on any spacer lift kit. You can get a decent suspension lift for around the same, maybe a little more. Lots of threads and info on this if you search. I would def look into Toytec

    Oh and welcome from AZ!

I have to agree with boardude , i dont mind the stiffness up front but it will take its toll mechanically over time.

Cheaper now vs higher repair costs down the road, and crappier ride. I know what I would do.

Here she is! I think a lift and wheels are much needed first and then I'll come back to the grill if I have a change of heart. Plenty of other mods I'll be doing. Budget is kind of tight right now after this move to Alaska and holiday shopping. :(

I actually got in touch with Roman, but he no longer sells painted parts. Only what's already painted and available. Not a big deal because I can always order it and get it painted, but it looks dumb when the rear bumper is color matched.

You can’t put a Pro grille on without losing your TSS. Leave that be. You can get a color Match surround if you want to get rid of the chrome. For the lift, get a 3” lift and put on 295/70/18’s. That’s 34.3” ish depending on tire.

Could possibly find someone that wants to swap pro grille for the honeycomb. I know there are several that want that honeycomb now since its new and different. Maybe not though with all that chrome, so that might not help

There may be one coming sometime soon. Just depends on when Toyota decides to announce the new Pro. :D
