There is a rather lengthy (8 hour) TSS alignment needed after forking with the height on these trucks. I don't use any of these and haven't seen the error codes (yet). When I finish the rear I'll have the dealership do it. That time isn't based on a quote. It's based on the tech, who does them, telling me about it.

Thought that too but double -checked everything we can think of as possible and can't find anything. The connections at the top of the shocks were unplugged but are definitely plugged back in with the keeper covers reinstalled too.

Thanks for confirming yours is fine. Looking for those confirmations this should work fine with the leveling kit.

Seems that is what they are going through. If that's what's needed, it is what it is. However, is mine the only one that's needed? And if the fix, will be curious as to why. That would result in huge implications on modifying the suspensions if the possible need for that step, especially for as minor as a 1.75 leveling kit.

Should be fixable with a simple alignment. Is your steering wheel slightly off in anyway?

I had an alignment and don't have the errors. I was told I still need to do the TSS alignment for things like that adaptive cruise control, etc... I've only driven about 10 miles so far since picking it up. I don't use a lot of TSS features so maybe that's why I haven't seen the codes.

I never got any codes at all after leveling mine. I took it to Toyota and had them do the alignment. Wonder what’s going on

Initially thought that too. 2 alignments have now been done (independent shop first but didn't fix alerts), hence the trip to the dealer and they did alignment too.

Hoping yours is good (and it should be). I got the codes without even using the TSS features.

Right now they are going through the TSS calibration. Other than that they mentioned disabling the systems if I want to keep the leveling kit. Of course not an option to disable and shocked the service writer even mentioned that. Sure hoping the tech isn't thinking that or might need to engage a new dealer...

Weird feedback @gnc1017 hopefully it's not a crazy fix. Not having the avs was one of my two big worries with putting on the trd lift but so far so good.

Reserving judgement until it's fixed of course. I'll post back the solution, whether from this shop or another.
Appreciate all the help and information! These trucks are complicated and of course new too so we all benefit from sharing data as we work through the initial pains.
From all the data from this forum, thought the leveling kit install would be a simple upgrade by now but with my luck, not so much for me...

Got the truck back from the dealer today. They said they had 3 TSS sensors that had to be recalibrated to get the alerts and lights to go away. They still blamed it on the leveling kit. I questioned it as the only factor that caused the issue as I've never heard of a single other Tundra that needed sensor recalibration after a leveling or lift kit was installed. While admittedly new, there are tons out there that have been raised and not a single mention that I'm aware of, especially with mine being such a recent build and one of the very last labeled as a '22.

I'd also be curious to know if the Toyota 3" lift instructions make any mention of possible recalibration being needed.

Can't help but wonder if my factory calibration was on the edge of specs and the leveling kit tripped it over. Will never know but will be curious if anyone else runs into this also. Hopefully just mine.

In the end, they only charged me $170 for the recalibration so it could have been worse. And more glad than anything that they got it fixed.

Cool thanks. That is exactly the set up I want to do on my 1794. I was hoping to still have about an inch of rake just so it doesn't look squatty at all. When you did yours, you didn't have any issue with the sensors? Did you install the RC yourself or take it somewhere?

I was the one who had the issue with the sensors that needed recalibrated. Still no idea why and looks to have been an isolated situation.

I did the install myself. Pretty easy for me as I have a 2 post lift and have done these before.

with the fabricated lever, can you still raise the back when you use the Hi switch? How did you reset the new ride height?

Yes. The adjustment of the arms sets the N height and Hi and Lo still work off of that new N reference point/driving height (which all of these go to above 18mph). So my new H level is ~2-3" taller than it was before I put the extension brackets on (and so is the new L level - taller than before).

Sorry this is off topic, but what is the point of the H setting. I get that the L setting makes it easier to load the bed of the truck with stuff but what is H good for?

H is good for if you need higher clearance. (not going over 18 MPH).

It seems like 18 is a little low for setting back to N. Wish that was more like 25.

@gnc1017 do you have measurements on the arms you made? The TRD life looks like 3-4+ on my truck (yes I forgot stock measurements). I want a backup plan for the AFE arms.

You could sell your fabricated arm since AFE arms are all on back order for 4 weeks minimum

How much did this end up costing you? How does it ride?
