if your willing to sacrifice ride quality then ya, I get the bigger tire deal. one of the guys here found some tires that were lower weight and load but still bigger and nice, I think they were pirelli? I cant remember the model

Move to an 18" wheel and run some 295/70s. I will be adding RC 1.75" spacers to the front due to current rake. I'm not a fan of 20s and I think the added rubber of the 295/70/18s may make for a slightly better ride tbh. I went back and forth on the Wescott 3/1 but don't think it's worth it (for now).

If more rubber = better ride then wouldn't a 35" tire on the stock rims ride better than the stock 33" tires on the stock rims?

my rough country 1.75" with maxed out rear air ride levers rides nice, like a truck should. The stock ride was way too soft in normal, completely mushy ride in comfort. After the lift, but with stock tires still, it rides just how I wanted it to. Comfort is now nice n smooth, not mushy and almost sloppy at times. Id imagine that adding stiffer tires would net a firmer ride, not sure by how much more though.

Still running a 20" tire which has less overall "height" from the wheel to the tread vs an 18". Also, if it's a load F vs E, it's going to be more unforgiving in terms of flex.

I may have asked you this already, but the maxed out air ride levers, are they stock or did you get the afe or westcott? Also, are you squatty at all or is there a decent take?

I currently have stock levers, waiting on my AFE's. Theres a tiny bit of squat...not enough to call it squat, more like a subtle cali lean. I'm going to try the AFE's to see if I can get it perfectly level.

Awesome. Yeah I can't handle any squat, would make me mad lol. I'm hoping to do the same as you with my 1794 but hoping for a little rake still.

My sienna handles speed bumps better than my truck. That doesn’t seem right. Have the adjusters all the way up and still hitting bump stops pretty regularly.

    AFE arms installed!

Ok I think I have myself in a decent spot but will leave the door open to further adjustment of course! I think I understand the arm geometry now but haven't modeled the stock arm. That arc is on a 90mm radius. AFE and Westcott attack this differently. AFE increased the arc length to get you the improved height where Westcott changes the angle of the pivot screw. The AFE is ~15° off the bottom edge matching stock but not sure about the Westcott but it all makes sense now after watching a few videos and swapping in the AFE arms. The passenger side is tight due to the gas tank location.

The arms are keyed onto the pivot portion - where the air bag pressure is adjusted by changing the arm position. It's easy to spin this keyed stud when taking it apart - don't worry too much if you do this. It's really easy to spin that pivot several revolutions when swapping if the arms falls out of out place. This is especially easy on the passenger side. The arm only goes on in one direction so as long as you get the keyed shaft lined back up, 3 flats and a curve, it will be ok. I freaked myself out a little bit after doing this and then watching the warning on the Westcott video. However all was ok so long as you get the keyed stud back to the right orientation to match the arms.

Arm comparison above. AFE being the SS. You can see the keyed pivot point mentioned above. This is how they're positioned in the truck, with my fingers being up.

Installing the arm all the way up, after having the stock arms all the way up, these are the before and after. measurements I also put more air in the tires since they were a hair low but there is still relative change. I neglected to get truly stock measurements prior to starting this whole process but someone probably has those.

Also there was a question about the parts needed in the front to make the TRD lift work if you have AVS. Here is the what the dealership ordered, sourced from an SR5. I'm pretty sure you need each of those per side.

    Looks great!

Are you measuring from the ground? What is your measurements from center of wheel?

My 1794 still sits stock and from center of wheel I have Front 21 5/8" Rear 23 1/2". Approximately a 2" rake. My hope was to get 1.75" RC in the front and afe or westcott AVS arms to get about a 1" rake with the lift.

This thread is interesting to me how different each truck is. I put 2” spacer up front and adjusted the rear arms to not even the top setting and came out level with room to spare. I’m running 35x11.5x20 on stock wheels.

Not sure - took those measurements in my garage where it's flat.

Thanks for showing the difference between stock arms and AFE. I've been looking for someone to post the comparison. Thanks.

Truck came out great! I just got my lift kit also, so looking forward to digging into it.

PS - the picture showing the list of extra parts you needed didn't show up.

Went up from 22.25in to 23.5in in the rear in just 15 minutes doing that adjustment on page 1 (from center wheel to fender). Thanks!!!

I have an SR5 with load levelling.

Did you have to do any trimming to the front to fit the 35"s?

No sir, plenty of room for the 11.5’s and mpg’s not affected much. Eventually down the road, I will go to 35’s on 18’s when more suspension and rims are offered for the tundra.

Is that front spacer you have equivalent to the RC 1.75?

Any issue with CV joints? Just called 4WD parts to have a kit installed and they will not do any lifts/levels without swapping the stock CVs with the TRD Pro CVs.

Nope seem to be fine. In case it's not clear above - I have the upgraded CVs that are part of the TRD lift package.

everything worked out great. I wound up putting an 1" spacer on it and gave it a little wider stance. I did pin the liner back and have no rubbing or anything. Absolutely loving it. MPG's took a hit by 1-2 mpg but other than that no complaints.

What wheel spacer did you use? I know you said 1", but what brand?
