Whoa...nice work. Sounds a bit risky but probably all about how hot you get them. I've thought about doing the same thing but nervous about marring the paint. Nice looking leveled truck though!

thanks! I only used the hair dryer to warm up the TRD decal. Didn’t get it hot at all.

For the badges..I did them on a super hot day and the fishing string cuts right through the tape.

Y'all installing the diff drops on these kits or leaving it alone? Anybody NOT use the diff drop and run into any kind of trouble?

I had 5100s put on front and back. Front is set at the mid position. So far I am pretty happy with the change and I noticed the truck just feels tighter, more responsive and less body roll. It looks better too and the rake is gone.

The nice thing about the 5100s is that you can keep your factory springs (stock driver and passenger front coil springs are different to compensate for the driver's side lean). I bought a diff drop kit but just in case but didn't need it.

I still would like to experience less body roll, so I may add a stabilizer bar or replace the fronts with 6112s and a shim later on. Overall, I trust the Bilstein product and have used them in my cars and trucks for years.

Here is the truck stock (before 5100 installation:

Here is the truck after the 5100s were installed:

...and here is a recent photo with the TRD Off Road sticker and 5.7L emblem removed. I like the cleaner look.

Not at all. Just Bilstein 5100s front and back...mid setting on front...directly replaced original wheels with TRD Pro BBS forged wheels + the K02s. No shims, spacers, trimming, etc.

Fake news. I was initially struck by the difference, until I realized these are two different trucks. Focus on everything forward of the cab, first pick is a pre-17, second pic is a 17+.

Looks like these are stock rims like mine and I'm planning on keeping them with bigger tires. Did you get any rubbing and need some trimming?

they are stock wheels, just refinished black.
I got a tiny bit of rub on the edges of the skid plate, 10 minutes with a cut off wheel and it’s been perfect.
