That's about what I spent on my ARE Overland with Yakima rack, carpet lined, one LED, fold down sliding window.

It is, and 3 stories, 3 bd, 2.5 bath, basement, and a garage. Fully adaptable 110v and you can even open the roof on starry nights

You can even choose how many trees you want, unlike your tree abundant property......PFFT!!!!

Well, now that you put it that way I had all the same except it was a Rhino Rack but I thought it all came standard except the rack

The rack was $400 with 52 inch bars

I've got a soft topper. I've used it twice camping with the family. It goes on the truck in about 10 min. when I'm slow. We're going to Death Valley soon for 4 days and it'll be my first wheelling adventure with it. I'll let ya know how it works out. Nice thing is you can fold it up and push it to the cab if necessary for visibility. I just don't wanna be searching for a rock-less spot to pitch a tent every night

Yeah bud that would be much appreciated! Those are the same reasons I have my eye on the soft toppers. Maybe take some pics while you're at it lol.

How hard/likely do you think it would be to atrach an awning to the side or rear of it?

I’ve done more backpacking and tent sleeping in my life than I care to state but I can tell ya, the RTT mattress is the tits!!! When I lived in my Tacoma I had a double layer of 3 inch yoga mats custom cut (by yours truly) to fit around the wheel wells, blankets, sleeping bags, multiple pillows, a remote control to my head unit, speakers in the bed, and loft shelving/mini cabinets, and the shell to cab was weather booted for warmth. It was totally snug but the girls would hit their heads regularly during their Bronco Betsy maneuvers

I’m gonna work on some math, hmmm
Weighed 185 in ‘03, weighing in at 215 in ‘18
Could touch my toes in ‘03, can touch my knees in ‘18
Could carry 2 sacks of cement in ‘03, can carry 4 empty cement bags in ‘18
Takes all night now to do what I used to do all night long.....
Final calculations determine that I’m still 6’ above the grass, not 6’ under it!

If you have a camper shell that isn’t starting to crack after some time then you’re not wheeling that hard, which is fine, but you’re not wheeling hard honestly. They’re just not made to flex like that and be smashed around. Also keeping massive the amounts of dust out is a pita. Even after buying sealant and foam taping things it’s still impossible to sleep back there without dust everywhere

So I know there are some questions and concerns about weight capacity on the RXT springs. I current have the pack configured on option 1 which yeilds about 1.5" of lift. I had to pull the boat out to lay some rock so I took some pics with both loaded. I had about 1/4 ton of rock in the bed and between that and the tongue weight I'm probably just shy of 1k lbs... some squating more than I would like so this confirms that I will be going to option 2 eventually

Sub’d, I’m also unhappy with the Icon expansion pack...
I also have a camper shell, I recommend getting one that sits higher than the cab, hard to get in and out of one that’s level with the cab, although I don’t sleep back there as I’m 7” longer than the CM bed... (for once in my life I’m too long :bananadance:)

You should also start a thread about hunting Unicorns. That’s what we’re really all about. LoL

Great idea with this though.

I’m told 12.5 on the RXT in order to be ‘accurate’, but I think there are some variables at play. Enough to say 13” is probably a good number to go with.

Yeah, this is gonna be interesting. Especially after Alex gets his 3” leafs done and you get yours and Roy gets his links and Zack gets his Valley Spring setup.

We’re leaning towards the RXT, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Want to see some more definitive results on all these other options.

We’re currently rocking stock leafs and a 1” block with the Icon bypasses. We’re even thinking of just adding bumps and rocking the stock leafs for a while longer. They do surprisingly well.

Video of said Bronco Betsy maneuvers or they never happened.
