:popcorn: I'll be doing the same probably before the summer when I start towing the boat. The leafs should be settled by then... I hope lol

With the RXTs springs it says that it provides up to 20% more wheel travel, but only when paired with the RXT shocks. The lower mount is different on the RXT omegas and allows for more travel. I bet your Pro shocks in the rear will limit that extra travel from the springs

Yep stock pro shocks. I really thought about it and the whole limiting factor.

I’ll wait for @n2deep new setup. So I can get his old setup!

2"CB shackles, bushings and 1 shim, lockerdown console vault, rear folding seat back mod, snugtop shell with opening side windows, 46g fuel tank, SDHQ sliders and hidden winch, Decked Drawers, Alcan leaf springs and got rid of the interior chrome
Sounds a lot like what I’m going to have to eventually do

Damn you edited before I could respond lol :quickdraw:

Yeah I see (or saw lol) your logic. Everyone's setup is going to yield different results so it may not be a limiting factor for you. I think you may notice it more on the down travel.

So, I'm going to wait to see your numbers when you go up to option #2 before I do mine.. So yeah, if you could get on that, that would be greeeeaaaat!

Lol. No it was a stupid theory that has been floating in my head..
Static I’m ok. Anything after the pro suspension will limit me.

Hmmm. How would those pair up with ADS 2.5 c/os?

Here’s my thought on my RTT; I have it on full time due to storage and difficulty of removal. I’m thinking of just selling my rack and RTT and getting a camper shell. I’m not high speed glamping, nor am I doing as much off road in the winter as summer. I’m not looking for a high speed rig so the shell shouldn’t be too terribly taxing. I’m starting to re-think my living situations and would probably find a built out bed a more appropriate solution for me. I thought @dcsleeper408 was crazy for mentioning the same a few weeks ago but my mid-life crisis might be coming to an end and assisting my parents in their older age is starting to come into focus.

But then again, I change my mind more than a fucking woman!!

Not sure how much the rack and RTT weighs, but I've been rolling with a shell for over a year now. My guess is it weighs 200-250 lbs. I can easily lift it myself from inside the bed if I need to re-position it. We've used it a lot for camping. It's not perfect, but keeps my shit drier and less dusty. No set up at all when camping other than unfolding our 6" thick foam mattress and sleeping bags. Easy for the dog to get in and out of. Easy to take a piss in the middle of the night. Only things I have to watch out for is trying not to throw muddy gear back there since I have a bed rug, and I'm working on a way to carry extra fuel without putting it under the shell.

I’ve had them before. They are handy, but restrictive at the same time. I lived in my Tacoma with a shell for 9 months back in 2003. I’m just mulling it over, no final decisions will be made until the temperatures get above freezing

I can't decide what to do with my bed setup. I'm on the fence between a bed rack, shell, or chase rack. I fit perfectly in the back of the CM to sleep so I can't justify a rtt, so a bed rack seems silly? Not sure if I want a hard shell as I still want to be able to use the bed for hauling, so maybe soft shell? Or chase rack to hold all my shit? I want to be able to pack the truck and be self sufficient for a week with an easy setup and breakdown. Ideally I would have figured this out before setting up my rears but at least I have options on whatever I decide :annoyed:

How does the shell hold up on the trails? What kind of wheeling do you do with it? I like to get my Ricky Bobby on so not sure if the shell would work for me...

I probably wouldn't want to catch any major air with it or go flying around turns. On the slow 4LO stuff or medium speed 40-50 mph type stuff, no problem. It might shift a fraction of an inch every now and then. But yea, if you're going Ricky Bobby, there might be better options. That chase rack would undoubtedly look badass.

The way I’m wheeling with my Boss 2.0 setup and CV axle issues I’m pretty sur Ricky Bobby’s great great granny would be passing me on the trail in her wheel chair

Yeah I think I'm leaning more towards that route. But then I lose bed space and harder to remove if I need to. Plus what I want would most likely custom which can quickly get into the same ballpark as a color matched shell lol
