    I had a Benchmade® Mini-Infadel until I accidentally stabbed myself in the leg with it and my wife made me sell it. I am on blood thinners and my boot filled up with blood, she refused to help me put a bandage on it and made me go to the doctor and get 3 stitches.

    Do you weld the cannister into the blade as well, or do you peel it off? My limited knowledge of any kind of forging is all from watching Forged In Fire years ago.

    Yep, white out works. Different folks use different methods. Stainless steel foil works. Some guys use really thin walled tube steel and figure it’s all gone to scale and grinding by the time you get the blade ready to shape up. I’m pretty old school.
