I avoid combining orange & blue together at a madman level of concern.

My first real EDC was actually a Kershaw Launch 3. Which sadly has been retired to the toolbox due to issues with the auto action not locking every push of the button.

My first Benchmade was actually a 943. I took it back after watching videos and reading reviews of the 940. I liked the robustness of the 940 "reverse tanto" style blade and returned my 943 for the 940 only a day or two later.

Been in love with it for over 4 years now. I like the AXIS lock, lightweight and the classiness.

I wound up a couple of years ago getting lucky and receiving the Infidel as a birthday present from my brother. Although it's a fidget spinner for big boys, I do carry it probably 10-15% of the time.

The 940 is a classic. It has the best handle to blade ratio around, a nice blade shape, wicked light, thin, and a blade length in the 3.5 inch sweet spot. It ties with the Spyderco Caly 3.5 for my all-time fave.

There’s a lot of knife makers and many that are a lot better than I am. Doing things this way I force myself to learn more all the time.
Most of the knife makers I know of just make knives and offer them for sale. I find myself taking the request for a type and style with size guidelines, then making the knife, lol. Sometimes I have to scratch my head and go, “how am I gonna do that!”

Under no circumstances am I super knowledgeable in the world of high-end custom-made knives, but time and time again you post knives that make me stop and stare for a bit. Like the bronco one was such a stunner I looked at it several times. I'd say whatever you're doing is working.
