Thank you. Sometimes all I can see are things that I might do different or maybe might have done better. I’m never quite satisfied.

The flowing, fluid, and always unique patterns of the Damascus are the reason why I have passion for this. I lose sleep dreaming about patterns, lol. Wait till you see what I do for the Damascus tundra shifter handle!

I usually carry this 580 Barrage everyday for years, but I’ve been thinking about getting a Bugout lately or something that’s not so chunky and heavy. I like the 580 with the M90 steel, and don’t have to sharpen it hardly ever, but it’s really hard to get it crazy sharp. Anyone have experience with the Bugout or something they’d recommend?

I must hit my first BM a few months ago - Bugout Carbon. S90V blade, and only weighs about 2 oz. I was originally looking at a mini crooked river but couldn’t pass this one up for the price I got it (and wanted the blue highlights)
I haven’t tried sharpening it yet, but still haven’t needed to yet either.

It’s actually a modified ladder pattern of 1084 & 15n20. The handle is black/natural canvas micarta.
I like doing the hourglass file pattern. Sort of a pia to gauge how much to over file so that the final fit up on the scales leaves the right amount of steel in the waist of the hourglass.

Might want to line the shipping box with lead so they can’t see it in the xrays and steal it…
