I knew Tom wanted a cleaver but I also knew that he does a lot of brisket and big grill pieces. So I decided a fusion piece would serve best. He hasn’t complained….
    Yet, lol

There’s been a significant breakdown in my productivity while I am building a new forge. You can only ramp a forge up to 2500f so many times before it starts to disintegrate! I should be up and running in a couple weeks. Can’t wait because there’s still so much more to learn and new patterns to try!

Unsolicited advice, so apologies - - Not trying to judge or throw a wet blanket on the non-stick pots and pans, but that coating is bad stuff. Very often parts of it get hot enough to cause molecules of the coating to slough off into your food, and if you insult the coating with a spoon or fork, you're also getting the coating in your food. The least damaging thing those chemicals do is metabolize into estrogen.

A stainless steel steamer might do your asparagus and spinach just as well. I've got a couple of carbon steel pans that are decently seasoned, and they work great, too.

That’s an amazing knife. The Pro-Tech TR-3 and the Microtech LUDT are damned near the same knife and tied for the best automatics on the market in my opinion.
You’re going to love it. Customer service and engagement from Pro-Tech is second to none.

I need to get myself one of these. My buddy showed me his Protech SBR and they snap open with authority, love the action on Protechs.

I finished the new forge yesterday and today put it to work. Hit 2430f in about 20 minutes. Looking forward to having this baby, although it will take a little time to get the perfect air and gas mix tuned.

Yeah I got out of there sooner than planned. If I’d stayed any longer I’d have had to go stand on the street corner and beg for gas money to get home.

The guy from Keybar has a hookup with someone at Space X. He gets surplus spaceship material from them and makes swords with it.
I didn’t get a good picture but they were pretty sweet. They were a thousand dollars each so I passed, but I definitely dug the craftsmanship.
