Now this big one is called a lobster. Found it yesterday. It’s about an ugly sumbitch, but it’s actually about the tastiest shroom out there

Yup that’s the one!!!:) DANG!! You beat me to it. My BIL (now deceased) lived near Mankato Minnesota and owned a good bit of property with lots of forest area. He used to tell be about those Lobster Mushrooms. I always wanted to try those but it never did work out,, and I was going to ask if you ever come across those. Good score!!:) at least from what I’ve been told and read about.

Indeed, very interesting. It seems a bit like “a solution in search of a problem”.
I’m sure it will not be inexpensive, either.

What I don’t like, is that it takes what I feel should be craftsmanship and replaces it with well financed technology nerds who might not even know how to sharpen a pencil. Plus, and I really hate to admit it, it’s possible that the knife quality could really be top notch.
Stuff like that spine design really is a good example of what I’m saying.

So, I was out foraging yesterday; not really :D...

and I came across this beast (regulation-size tennis ball used for reference)

...but unfortunately I did not have my RT sickle on me so I was unable to properly harvest this beast :(
