The running boards? I've had a few people ask and I have no idea despite looking for markings of any kind. They were on the truck when I bought it and based on what I know about the previous owner, my best guess is they're OEM or were a dealer supplied option in '05. The previous owner was the niece of the local dealership's owner and the truck was bone stock when I bought it so I doubt she would have installed aftermarket running boards.

Hey all, here's my new-to-me 2001 AC. I purchased it from the original owner, 165k miles, as you see it here. It's been great so far! Got some things I want to do to it, but that will come with time.

Someone stole my catalytic converter 3 days after I bought it which was a total pain. I put one of these skid plates from Pod 6 Product on after for a little piece of mind.

The previous owner put 285/75/17 BFG's on it, which is great, but they definitely rub at full turn. Eventually I'll do the front suspension and I have a set of newer TRD wheels that I'll throw on too.

Before the lift/suspension and fun stuff, I'm gonna do a bunch of routine maintenance. The previous owner did the timing belt at 96k, but that was in 2006, so I'll probably take care of that sooner rather than later just for some peace of mind.

Anyways, this forum has been a great resource so far, so thought I'd share. Thanks!

Bought mine last August. Odometer showed 127k, found out it really had closer to 225k on it .

Promptly did timing belt, water pump, new CVs, LCAs, tie rods, sway bar bushings, steering rack bushings, head gasket and spark plugs. Probably more that I can't remember too. Had my shop fix the leaking rear axle because I don't have the equipment not do that.

The fun stuff added was new Infinity Speakers, a Joying Android head unit with Masters tailgate handle back up camera. All exterior lights except for headlights are LEDs and I (hope) I have the all the bulbs to do the interiors light when I have time.

Sitting on Billys 5100s with with OME 2885, 3/8" spacer up front and 1" block in the back from previous owner. Toyo Open Country ATiii 285/70r17 on SCS wheels.

The list of wants is long, but I am happy with how it has turned out so far.

    Thanks!!

Bought it off Craigslist after looking for pretty much this exact truck for a couple months. It was priced good, but not too good to be true, rushed through the buying process (literally someone found us making the sale just driving through the neighborhood trying to find the truck that was posted). Pulled up Carfax to look at the maintenance history like I should had done before buying and there was a decent amount of services showing up until 220k range.

Was not a fun day, but have put a lot of work into to make it trustworthy and slowly making it more fun for camping and mild wheeling.

It is a Century Truck Cap. Bought it off a Salvage yard from a totaled truck. Probably the biggest win so far for my build.

My uncle bought it used when it was a couple years old and kept it for many years. Didn't drive it much. Due to a medical condition, he sold it to my dad last year for a very good price. After a year, my dad didn't like climbing in and out of it due to him getting older and having a bad shoulder. He decided to sell it and I jumped. I bought it at 83K miles for a bit less than the great price he paid for it.

Yeah, I became aware that I scored a unicorn at a great price. So I'm babying it. So far, I've been washing it every week. Got the oil changed, the diff and transfer oil changed, getting the timing belt and water pump changed next week as well as a coolant flush. I want this truck to last me another couple decades. And with the low miles that I drive (its a two mile commute to work), I don't see why it won't last that long.

Its been a couple of months since I have been here as a new (to me) house has taken over my life and time. But the Tundra has been fulfilling its purpose this summer and I am happy as ever to have this truck. Gotta mention that @FrenchToasty helped me out with moving a massive stone table from the garage to the back porch. He was the brains behind the operation.

First, mistletoe removal was a huge task for these old trees including this nice mesquite. This photo might look like it is going to be on one of those blooper reels but the result was spot on. I was able to make a nice hinge cut and the rope tension kept the branch away from my roof.

    IMG_1790.HEIC.jpg

After diggin up the septic tank, refinishing the pool deck, painting the pool fence, putting up snake fence, chasing electrical gremlins, landscaping, packrat drowning(s), fixing plumbing fixtures, etc...I decided to take a road trip to the PNW to see friends and backpack. The Tundra got me to some great national forests for easy sleeping:

    IMG_0691.jpg
    (Mt. Jefferson in the background)

Also got to mtn bike in the Bend area, very dusty:

    IMG_0687.jpg

Notes: I am loving the cryo treated rotors as stopping power is better than ever and no fading/pulsating at all.

@robabeatle your house looks awesome. I was so intrigued by the house and mountains in the background I didn't even notice the tow strap until I read the rest of your post.
