Thanks brother! I must ask, I have a 285/75 tire on the same rims. How bad do you rub? Mine rub at full lock turning left (likely an alignment issue) but when they were new tires (with an alignment) they rubbed at full lock both ways.

It’s almost the perfect enhanced stock look. If only they came that way. But you can never make a perfect truck for everyone!

I should add, I don’t have spacers. Are these a good idea to eliminate rubbing? Are the bad for longevity purposes?

Thanks. I'm a big fan. I thought about bronze but glad I went with the gunmetal. The picture doesn't quite show it that well, but maybe once it gets a bath I'll get better pics.

I've always stayed away from spacers and have been told by others I trust to stay away. I've also seen instances where they can be the cause of rubbing. Personally, I think 285 tires are about the biggest you can run without a lot of work that involves cutting, pounding, and welding.

I may go and get the truck aligned again because the tires are rubbing only when turning left and they rub on the frame and upper control arm which I can’t hammer or trim. I mean, I could...

but I’m not even gonna try. I’m joking. I’ll probably end up staying away from the spacer then. What I’ll do (likely) is invest in a slightly taller lift. If I go this route, I’ll probably go toytec or an equivalent. If I don’t do this, I’ll get a slightly narrower tire (once these wear out) and a better alignment. This would probably be the smarter route.

So my personal learning experience is: SPC upper control arms, with aftermarket wheels, paired with suspension and a little pinch weld hammer is what has worked for me. I’m certainly not saying that is the only option; but I think aftermarket UCAs are a game changer.

I would agree. Stock Upper control arms seem weak sometimes.

Man I just put a led bar in the same spot you did but I put in a single row led system. Do you have a pic of the light dispersement?

I have to go back into that bumper and re-adjust the light bar, it's aiming a bit to low. I was thinking to replace it with a longer single row bar.

Yeah same here, mine is pointing too high. I went with the slimmer single row bar because it didnt seem like the second row would be of much use since the bumper would be blocking most of the light.

Yeah the bumper blocks the light from the top row but this bar was cheaper than the single row when I was shopping. It does light up the night pretty well and doesn't seem to affect oncoming traffic so much. I have to find a single row spot beam next time I decide to go back in there

The spacers may cure the frame rubbing, and in turn create wheel well rubbing. It will push the wheel away from the frame, but that makes the wheel have a wider scrub radius and then contacts the bumper edge in the front, and wheel well by the pinch weld and mud flaps in the back. There's probably a perfect amount of back spacing that would make it stop rubbing the frame and not hit the wheel well, but I doubt it's a spacers width more. New UCA's cured it for some as they correct the new lift angle slightly. More lift may or may not help depending on where the rubbing is occurring. The frame rubbing is mostly harmless as long as you keep the frame protected from corrosion. And using 90% of the turning available to keep it from rubbing means you may have to make a 7 point turn in tight spaces instead of a 6 point turn. No big deal.

Agreed. I think @Darkness was saying something about the rubbing may be good sometimes to help keep the rust off. That was in a different thread though.

They are Method 701s. So far the Toyo RTs have been great. Son has gen 4 v8 4runner with the same tires too...

If you ever get a different front bumper let me know! I'm looking for a limited black bumper w/ the flare holes.
