Is that a tacoma ARB bumper? Thought that only the safari bumper fit these trucks

Sorry for pics of bed. Sorry if it triggered any gag reflexes. I fixed it here...

215k miles. Just had timing belt, water pump, and thermostat done at Toyota last week as precaution. Bought it at at 160k miles. Not a spec of rust on it. Drives like new.

Just picked up an '06 DC with 284,000 miles for $5k. Been on TW forever. Just here to research some things.

The wife and I do long trips all over Western N. America in our '99 4Runner and wanted something that could seat 5 for when her family visits from the islands and comes with us. The nice retired gentleman we bought it from is the original owner and did all maintenance at the same dealership for 15 years.

Our other Toyotas. Have had a couple of 2nd Gen Tacos and a first-gen as well. This is our first Tundra! Howdy, all.

The 3rd Gen 4runner has surprisingly been my favorite Toyota we've ever owned. And we've had almost all of them haha.

They are amazing little vehicles when you factor in reliability, off-road capability that is decent stock (and easily improved with fantastic aftermarket support), maneuverability, and one of my favorites is how they drive so small, but seemingly have more interior space than their exterior size would suggest...almost Tardis like.

The one minor complaint I have is MPG...the 3.4 is thirsty for such a mild motor HP wise.

Sorry for the late response, the spacers were needed to clear the UCA's, but other than that I had no issues clearing the 305/70r16's. I have a very slight amount of rub off of the front bumper at full flex and lock (haven't trimmed or cut at all).

We average 17 mpg in our ‘99 which doesn’t seem that bad but we also got 18 average in our old Tacoma and get 20 something in our little 22R-E pickup so it is the worst we’ve owned until now. I just picked up my first Gen so I haven’t even gone through a whole tank yet but I’m assuming the Tundra will average worse than 17 once we get some miles in it. Ha

3 full squish MTBs with 3 people and everybody comfortable. I managed to get 7 MPG towing in western KS one time. There was a brutal head wind. I tried to set the cruise at 55 and it couldn't manage it(towing).

Offroad these things are just nuts with the locker.

Here's mine. Bought May 2020 from my best friend Daniel. 246k miles, but they're Daniel miles. Dude is a maintenance fanatic. The interior is about as immaculate as you could ask for. There's clear coat failure on the hood and cab and I'm thinking about wrapping those with anime girls for the lulz. Anyway, I absolutely love this truck. Been lurking and learning a lot.

Congrats! I too purchased my first gen with 240k on it. Didn't think twice when the original owner had all maintenance docs to go along with it. These ol goats will last forever.
