Well just to clarify I had no idea that you were being sarcastic?
So I will be baffled if you try them again, hows that?

Sarcasm just usually is not all that obvious in the 2 dimensional world here online ya know.

    I am pissed for you!

No you're not alone. I was only able to order because a member here knows Billy at Brute Force. He took care of it for me. Otherwise, they are very hard to reach.

I did it with the help of a well qualified friend. I did all of the researching and planning myself but luckily I work at a shop that is partnered with Toyota so I have full access to all of the repair manuals.

Once I had all of the parts together my friend helped me pull the automatic, install the manual, and fit the clutch pedal. After that I finished the wiring, driveline, and transmission mounts myself.

It gets a lot of scratches on the trail but I’m planning on repainting it in the next month or so because it’s turning into a really cool truck and I think it’s worth saving from the acid paint that so many of these green 1st gen Toyota Tundras are plagued with.

Damnit. I’d love to throw a 6 speed behind my tundra. What trans did you use and how did you deal with the bellhousing/starter location

How much room did you have for your winch? top plate to mounting plate?

When I was searching for a winch to fit mine, I could only find the VR10 Gen II Warn winch that would guarantee fit with the solenoid removed.

I'm wondering if during the fab process my fabricator shifted to minimize the gap between the truck/bumper and left me less room....

It is an R151f from a 1998 Tacoma. I used the bellhousing from automatic with an adapter plate between the transmission and automatic bellhousing. Didn’t end up having to touch the starter at all.

The check engine is on, but I kept the wiring I place and I would like to remove the shifter solenoids and plug from the old automatic and plug it in so the engine light goes away. I might be able to fool it using resistors but one of the pins uses PWM so it might be tough to fool that one.

Right now it thinks it is always in park but I plan on using a relay to switch between neutral and drive, having it normally stay in drive and switch to neutral when I push the clutch in. That way it would only be able to start when the clutch was pressed.
