Thanks! I'm sure it's off. I think the pros here calculated it to be off 8%. That's what I've been using to calculate MPG.

For mine is just set my cruise and used a GPS. Whatever the difference was is how I got my 11% if I recall. So at 65 on my speedo I'm going about 71-72. I think it's right between 10.5 and 11%. Obviously the faster you go the closer you can get the percentage when checking on gps.

I'm on 275/70R17 KO2s (basically 32s), and on a recent long trip I went 108 miles by mile markers (almost exactly) and my odo said 100. So I bump my mileage by 8% before calculating mpgs. 33s should be a little more.

00-04 speedo can be corrected. 05-06 are out of luck.

Not a viable option. If you have 3.91 stock and move to a 33" tire you can swap to 4.10 gears to get almost accurate. If you run 35s a 4.56 will get you almost accurate. Not enough to make the math easier for MPG calculations.

I see. Mine came stock with 4.10s according to some website someone posted and the code on my door. I know when I'm going 30 that I'm really going closer to 35 cuz of.the machines.around town that flash your speed at you

I don't think it will. I recall reading that there is a difference in how the speed sensor work with the wheel speed sensors, having conflicting speeds causes trouble. I've seen bad reports on a truspeed for the same reason with the 5 speed.

Hmm. We do it to the lifted second gen tacos at work. It’s a similar setup. Maybe it’s a tundra only thing.

@Brown Bear NICE rainbows! Even nicer Boondock Trekker of a Tundra. I realize you mentioned a 4" lift in your rig and how it dwarfs the white Tundra (which is a 2wd?). Oh, and thanks for sharing the idea/construct of your boat rack, a low cost DIY rack, if I have viewed it correctly, that offers more than many commercial racks I have seen. Now to go back and view it closer...:spy:

Thanks. That white Tundra is stock 4 wheel drive with an iron bull bumper. The fish are actually Lahontan Cutthroat and the last picture is a Brown Trout. I will do a write-up on the bed rack once I get time to finish re-bed lining it and installing the gas Pistons.

Now that you have pointed out my error, I can see the third frame's cut marking, but the others could easily pass for rainbows with their differing markings, spots and otherwise. The last one, the brown, is not common around my locale except for one lake I do not fish because of it being so crowded. We have several alkaline lakes on the east side of the Cascade mountains that are stocked with Lahontans but none that I have fished. In my neck of the woods it's rainbows in lakes, with sea-run cuts, steelhead, and salmon in the rivers, though the steelhead numbers, and salmon, have been seriously depressed for a number of years with little to encourage us steelheaders. Oh, and I almost forgot the Dolly Varden or bull trout in the rivers.

The white Tundra sure looks small compared to yours, kind of like it is squatting - the bumper and bed load giving it that appearance? Or is your Tundra so high as to give the white one, and mine, a diminutive look? Looks can definitely be deceiving.

Sorry to hear of your experience with the Dupli-Color bed lining, but the knowledge is beneficial to me as it was one of my finalists for painting my bed, along with Upol Raptor, which now seems to stand alone as my choice.

I await your write-up, sir. Thanks.

The German Brown trout, not indigenous to the US, was brought over in 1883, imported as eggs. Unlike the American species, the brown trout can handle warmer water, and water of a less pristine quality. Some hold it to be a trophy class fish because of their cagey nature and size attainment, while others consider it a predatory nuisance, and detrimental to other trout species.

Never heard that term before. It's an ARE V series off a 2006 DC. What makes it a surveyors camper? The side access windows?

I had one similar on a 85 F150, and the guy I bought it from said he used it for his surveying company. I don’t know if that’s really what they are called but it makes it way easier to get stuff out of the front of the bed
