I like the color of those wheels. They would look good with my Phantom Grey Pearl 04 DC.

All cleaned up today. Installed the new bugshield. Not as simple as they lead one to believe. Much more involved than the one that was on my Trailblazer. Had to modify it some in order to fit right.

Well, there I was, at the firing range, and it was time to go home. I had parked near a ditch and was pulling out of my parking spot. I thought I was getting a little close to the edge so I hit the brakes. The front drivers side of the truck slowly rolled into the ditch and there was nothing I could do but ride it out. All my friends and co-workers came running and immediately whipped out their phones and took pictures. Eventually 5 of them stood on the rear bumper while another guy tossed a tow strap on the trailer hitch and pulled me back a couple feet until I got all 4 wheels back on the ground. The truck faired well with no damage whatsoever and I drove her home and gave her a bath.

Good stuff! Mine is "just a work truck" too.
It's got plenty of bumps and bruises from being a "work truck" before it was my work truck, but I still strive to make it nice as I can, without a complete restoration, of course. Seem like good trucks. I am excited to try something new.

Anyway, how hard is it to de-badge these trucks? I have an 06, and think it has way too many words on the outside. I'd like to get rid of some/all badges, but don't know where there are obstacles beyond two sided tape. Like locating pins that will leave holes in the body, or such things. Any info or tips/tricks would be awesome.

    Thanks!
    Dave

My 'new to me' 06 2wd.

It was a hard working truck for someone. It sits level, and I don't know if the original owner put aftermarket parts on it to level it, or if it was beefy for a 2wd from the factory as part of the tow package. ???

Now that I put a cap on, and moved all my tools to the bed, it is sagging out back a bit. I'd like to put some adjustable helper air springs on the rear, or maybe just air shocks, to level it up when I have some weight in the back (which will be most of the time).

The way it sits up a bit for a 2wd (maybe it sits normal for a 2wd Tundra?), and the aggressive all terrain tires all the way around, makes me wonder if the original owner didn't wish it was 4x4. ??? The original tires were 245/70/16 all season highway tires. Now it has some relatively loud 265/70/16s. I just drive on the road, so I am replacing them with some highway tires. Like them tall though, so I'm thinking 265/75/16. Don't really need the width, but they don't make them this tall, and 245 narrow at the same time.
