Well. Round hea’ if you don’t like the weather, just wait 24 hours. Last year was like the north pole snow all winter. This year its been like springtime with a few short cold snaps (no snow).

    I do not like snow!

Known this truck as long as I can remember... its a 2000 year model my dad has had it since 2002 and its been in my family ever since. I'm glad to be the new owner as of 2017 its always gonna stay in the family. Maybe I'll be able to pass it down to my kids one day : )

I really dig the wheel color. I have these wheels on my Tundra... I have been thinking about going with a color like this.

    Hello, fellow Tundra owners.

here is a fairly recent pic of my truck. Current tires are 265/70/16. I am pulling the trigger today on some tires and wanted a bit of advice. To the best of my research, with the leveling kit that I have, I can safely put 275/70/16 tires on these rims with 1.25 spacers. I am also seeing that some guys are running 285/70/16 tires with the same leveling kit and spacers. Some with no trimming and some indicate the need to maybe trim the back end of the bumper only.

I really like the way the 285's look.

    What do you all think?

Some people have fit 285's without having to trim. Others have not. If you level it out, 275s should fit but it's a toss up with 285s. No one has been able to explain why this is. I think it might come down to the specific tire.
@Professional Hand Model fit 285's but he's running a Michelin street tire, not a bulky all terrain.

I would not put spacers on my truck. What leveling option are you considering?

It already had a leveling kit on it when I got it. I am not sure of the brand. It mounts to the top of the strut. In the picture, it has the leveling kit on it. When I replaced the front struts, it actually raised it another 3/4 of an inch. I really am not a fan of spacers, but I actually really like these wheels and don't really like all the flashy offset wheel options. Oh, and I am on a budget :)

285/75/r16 will look like this. Slight inside rub on a full hard turn. No trimming done. Billy5100 on one notch up from stock height. High dollar alignment and new cam bolts. All front end is stock OEM.

Thought about spacers, but do some towing/hauling and they seem like a weak link/dangerous. If not towing, I’d consider them more but its not worth it to me.

Screen grab to see the differences in other sizes tires on the same truck... same basic perspective. The photos in the middle are a duplicate.

Excellent. Thank you guys for your feedback. I think I am going for it with the 285/75/16 BFG A/T's. I'll post some pics soon.

Thanks. Those are the OEM wheels center caps that flaked out a few years ago. I lightly sanded them and rattle canned them with Rustoleum flat black. Spiced them up a few months back with some red highlights (oil paste from art store). Used the same paste for the body side trim groove highlights. Feel free to copy or use your own colors of your choice.

Been lurking for awhile, figuring out what direction to go with my Tundra.......

Had this truck since new, only 89,000 miles on it now. I figured it was time to do something with it. Been a busy winter, Snugtop Super Sport canopy, Apple CarPlay head unit, remote start, backup camera. Suspension, wheel and tire upgrade with differential drop kit and new CV boots for piece of mind. Ohh, and replace the rear gas tank strap, old one let go one day.
