I don't have a dog right now- ours died back in July. :( Burg was a Christmas present for my mom when I was in fifth grade. Applehead chihuahua. He could fit in her pocket when he was a baby. He was good and fat, and ate all the things. He stole tissues out of my Nonnie's pocket and shredded them, ate the heads off my army guys, and never turned down any food other than broccoli. He was friggin awesome. I never thought I would love a little ankle biter dog as much as I loved him. He was like my brother.

He was 9, would have been 10 on October 21st. He had been perfectly fine for the longest time, then he took sick all of the sudden. Two days into being sick, he passed. I was laying in my mom's bed with him when it happened.

Probably exactly where he wanted to be too. Sorry man. Dogs are the best! I had to put down my last Great Dane about 2 years ago. She was 10 and had a sudden bone cancer in her leg. I never let her on the bed, but she got to be up there for the two weeks before I had to do it. Now I'm such a sap, my current Dane thinks he owns the comforpedic.

Yeah, he loved Mom, and he loved me. He would sleep with me until it was time for me and Dad to go on the paper route (generally around 230 AM,) and then he would sleep with Mom the rest of the night. Never thought I'd love a yappy dog, but I loved that little guy. Now I just have seven cats. One isn't doing so well, though.
That sucks about the poor girl getting cancer, and so suddenly- it definitely sucks to lose a pet so quickly. They're like family, ya know?

Yep. I sat on the floor with all the pups and played with all of them. He was the one that connected with me the most. He was the biggest of the litter as well. It is amazing how smart he is!

Keep your dogs nails trimmed. If they get cracked it will cost you $500 to get the nail removed. It will grow back but takes time.

Our Corgi has an auto immune disorder which makes her nails brittle. She will often rip out her nail from running around or will chew it completely off. She's on a special diet & takes a blood thinner to help w/ it. I feel bad whenever she does it but she acts like "why you trippin?"
