    Hey All,

Looking at shell options for my '18 Platinum Crewmax. With the deep bed, I'm thinking that a taller shell (Hi-Liner) might look more proportional than something shorter (Supersport or XtraVision). Plus it has the added headroom for camping, transporting bikes, etc. I'm not 100% convinced I like the look of the Hi-Liner and I'm struggling to find any good examples online. Anyone out there have some photos of their Crewmax with a Hi-Liner or similar shell?

    Thanks,
    Beau

Did some more homework and only found ONE photo of a Crewmax with the HiLiner. Decided I preferred the Rebel and pulled the trigger on one!

EDIT: I should make it clear that this is NOT my truck. Sorry if I borrowed your photos!

The hi-liner in the post above did look pretty slick, but here's what I ended up with:
    SnugTop Rebel
    - Upgraded LED lighting
    - 2x sliding windoors
    - prop-up front window
    - keyless pro lock
    - Yakima Rack system
    - BajaRack MegaMule cargo rack

Im a new member and soon to be new Tundra owner. Love your rig! You’ve set the bar really high! Do you hunt your dogs? I’m owned by a Pointer looking fwd to bird season.
Ive been researching truck caps. My Tundra will be a 2020 CM limited - i could be reading it wrong but on Snug website the size chart doesn’t list anything for 2020 CM. Did you have any issues with sizing for yours? Thanks

Thanks! Yes, they love to hunt! Arrow, the Vizsla, is coming up on his second quail season. We've put in lots of training hours this year prepping Remi, the GSP, for his first season.

The SnugTop website must not be up to date. I didnt have any trouble finding a shell that fit. If I recall correctly, the Rebel, XtraVision, Supersport, and Hi-Liner all fit a crewmax Tundra. Good luck

Really been looking at toppers and this model looks great. Is snugtop the company that offers the sportsman package that reinforces the roof?

Yes. The sportsman's package is a little extra (around $200, I think) and has a reinforced roof rated for 500lbs (don't quote me on that). I think the package also includes some rod holders installed on the ceiling of the shell. I never planned to have a RTT, so I didn't get that option, but I immediately regretted it. They say that the standard shell is rated for 200lbs and I can picture getting there pretty quickly with the cargo rack I installed. Oh well...

How much did the set up run you total? I will probably bite the bullet and add it. Looks great!

Thanks! I think I got out the door for just a hair over $3700 not including the BajaRack, which I purchased and installed later. I called around and got quotes from several SnugTop dealers in my area. Quotes ranged from $3700-$4400 for the same setup. Definitely worth shopping around!

BeauGentry4 this is a slick looking shell. Do you ever travel with that cab window up? If so, what's the extra noise like? I've heard mixed reports of really bad wind noise when that's open.

Came across this the other day and I like it much better than the fiberglass toppers, mainly because is structural and can support a load as designed.

Tundra option released this month, not sure about the long bed options though.

I drive with it up most of the time. That way, I can roll down the rear window to yell at the dogs when they're fighting or climbing on our luggage :D

I haven't noticed much noise at all. Sure, it might be slightly quieter that with it closed. But, certainly no louder than a stock pickup without a camper shell.

Interesting. I've never seen anything like those. I'll have to consider one for the next go-around!

Ordered the Hi-Liner yesterday for my '20 Silver Tundie now the 10 - 12 week wait is on, I would have liked it for an upcoming trip in May and the company I ordered it from said if he had one that would fit he'd give it to me as a loaner.
