There are different Rack systems out there depending on your needs plus the Cap it self has a weight limitation.

I just went through the process and needed a rack to carry around paddle board / kayak and bikes.... possibly a roof top tent.
A couple brands that a popular are Thule and Yakima and are great systems but a bit pricey for what they are and if you do lots of off-roading this is not the rack system your looking for.
(Canadian price) Cost for my Yakima set up was $1155 not installed add $200 for that. Thule was $40 bucks cheaper but it's a little more work to remove racks than Yakima and it was out of stock when I went to order.

Depends on what you want to put up there.

A couple of options if you are looking for a basic crossbar setup.
You'll need Tracks, Landing pads, and Bars.
Decide what type of crossbars you want for your application and that'll tell you what type of track system brand to get.
    -round bars (heavy, simple, cheap)
-Aero bars (more expensive, less noise, harder to adapt clamps for certain items.) There are several variations of these.

    Some more common ones are:

    Thule -https://www.thule.com/en-us

    Yakima-https://yakima.com/products/60-tracks-w-capnut-hardware

    Rhino-Rackhttps://www.autoanything.com/roof-r...dDsM0y4ucTo5t8oUt-NskTDZcW1UeDgcaAufjEALw_wcB

General price for the whole shebang is around $500-1k. but you can find a ton of deals and sales , FB marketplace, etc.
The Rhino-Rack is a pretty good deal and I like the vortex crossbars.

You can install a track system on your shell. It's super easy and pretty hard to screw up. Just measure twice and use silicone. Have a buddy help hold the locknuts from the inside of the shell!
Like stated above, you can go with several brand names and here are some sites to research parts and prices.
I'm a fan of Thule and like they're aero bars on cars. Looked good , held up well, and was easy to install. I haven't really seen a major difference between the Yakima and the Thule on similar parts.

Some sites to look at for the above listed are:
    https://www.rackoutfitters.com/truck-racks/
    https://www.etrailer.com
    https://www.rackattack.com
    https://www.autoanything.com
    https://www.carid.com

Now you can skip a crossbar setup and run a platform as well. More expensive, but to me way more versatile. No experience with them yet.
    something like:

    Rhino-Rack https://www.tundras.com/threads/new-rhino-rack-platform-on-are-camper-shell.29983/
    Frontrunner https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/vehicles/canopy-cap-camper-shell-trailer-racks
    Prinsu https://prinsudesignstudio.com/category/toyota/
    Victory 4x4 https://www.victory4x4.com

    To name a few...
Rackoutffitters has installation video's on a few of them on camper shells.

More information on what your specific application is for and what you're looking to do would help narrow it down.

The Prinsu rack for my Leer 100XR just shipped from Truck Brigade. I'm excited to finally be off the fence.

Please send pictures and a brief install breakdown when done. My girl has a prinsu rack on her 4Runner and it’s awesome.

I went with Yakima tracks installed at the factory, to preserve warranty. Then I went and bought Rhino Rack vortex bars. They came with the tracks, and were still cheaper than the comparable Yakima Bars.

This is the setup I bought, under $300. Includes everything, tracks, mounts, hardware, and bars.

It did in the front corners when it was first installed. I had it reinstalled with a thicker seal and now I have no problems. There’s a bigger gap than I’d like but it doesn’t rub or leak so I’m happy.

I really like that setup you got. Do you prefer the single or double lock on the back door?

I prefer the single. One less thing to lock. Definitely go for the windoors too.

It was the same price for the double or single. Just preference. The single can latch from the inside but you can’t lock it. I’ve spent many nights sleeping in the back, even during a 60mph windstorm, without any issues.

So...I have been remiss in posting more photos of my new topper. :anonymous:

    Here goes! :transformer::smokertransformer:

It's the Century Ultra topper, with the dual latches (I hated the single ones offered), along with a black headliner and removable front window.

I am still waiting for my Thule Tracker II rack. The dealer said last week he was going to light a fire under their butts for forgetting it in the first place! :bananadead: At least I have the ability to haul things in an enclosed space now.

Now I just need to convince the wife how badly I need a utility trailer...:monocle:

I'm going to be selling a Yakima footpack kit that was used once that is designed for bedcap track system. All you need to buy is the Yakima crossbars of your choice.

I never understood why some people refer to trucks with shells as having the 'Grandpa Look' . . . . I guess if it's a Lance Camper, or an old 'Jalopy Top' Fred Sanford style rig I could see it. If anything, I'd say the 'Tonneau Covers' are more 'Grandpa-esque'. My Pops is an old-timer and when he got a new truck he went and had a tonneau cover put on it w/o me knowing cause he knew I'd give him s__t for it. His reasoning was for 'visibility' . . . he said the shells blocked his visibility too much . . . . hence the old guy reasoning. But when he needs to haul anything of size, he always calls me cause it wont fit under his tonneau, but will fit inside my shell. So I always rub it in a little . . . being the good Son I am . . . LOL
