Oops, newbie posting same pic 3x! Just bought this Tundra, has the ARE not sure what series....? Been in TX and AZ all it’s life till now. How much will a body shop charge to repaint that bugger? Fading a bit.

 

The steps are shot. Going to take them off, if it’s too high of a hop into cab will get some better ones. Wife will be driving this about 1/2 the time.

Had my Leer 100 XR (ordered through Leonard Truck Accessories) put on yesterday. Color match looks pretty perfect. Only thing I don't like is the giant "LEONARD" letters that came on the back window. Will be removing them soon.

 

Nice. How long ago did you order? I placed an order back in November for a Leer and when the shop checked on the status for me last week it was still 'in process' with no ship date yet

 

Dang, sorry to hear that. I ordered mine at the end of December and was told 5-7 weeks. It came in last week. Took exactly 5 weeks. Did you give the shop a deposit? I imagine it takes longer to get one up north, but I’d be skeptical if they can’t even give you an estimate of when it’ll arrive.

 

Nice, match looks good. That might be the largest dealer logo I have ever seen. It’s gotta go. I took Leer one off glass as well.

 

Damn! I just ordered a leer from my local dealer and they quoted me 8 weeks lead time.....hope it doesn't take as long as yours!

 

Thanks! The logo is all I see when I look in the rear view mirror. It’s even so big that it pushes the Leer logo into the middle of the glass.

 

Looks like he’s in Canada, so that may be the reason for the delay.

 

Things usually take a little longer to make their way north, pre-covid never mind now days. I was told it would be anywhere from 6-10 weeks, coming up on 11 weeks now. Yes, deposit was paid...they won't take an order without one. I've gone with the same shop previously for a canopy on my old Tacoma, so I'm not worried or anything, just seems like a long wait. I'll follow up with them on Friday and see if they have an update

 

Yes...it's probably because Canada. I'm thinking they might wait until they have enough to cover freight costs before they ship

 

Well wouldn't ya know it...just got a call they received the canopy today. Booked in next Thursday for the installation

Nice, congrats! Next week marks 8 for my ARE CX Classic. Hoping it comes in here soon, I'm moving to Texas in about a month. Really don't want to go through the hassle of having it rerouted and finding a dealership to install it down there if it doesn't make it in by when I leave.

 

With any luck luck you'll get a call in a week or two! I know rerouting and getting a different dealer to do the install would be a pain here. Hope things work out so you don't have to go through the headache

I'm patiently waiting for the topper I ordered last week. It will be a Century Ultra (paint-matched) with a headliner, removable front window, and Thule Tracker rack system.

The estimated timeline is 8 - 10 weeks, which I can live with.

I'm just thankful I read up on this forum about all the delays before purchasing, so I knew what I was getting myself into!

 

I'm still waiting for mine , ordered 2.5 weeks ago..... 4-6 weeks to go....
