How are you liking it so far? I've been thinking about one for my DC.

This sounds like my future plans. I put up some LED strip lights RGB with a roll of hook side only velcro so they attached simply to the carpet headliner and can be moved/removed. Temporarily just running the power for them off of a jumper pack last weekend to test out in the bed camping and they worked awesome.

Next up is to figure out the sleeping platform/drawer arrangement, and possibly run the second battery for house battery up near the bulkhead. The only other thing we found from sleeping inside it was that it needs more ventilation, not necessarily more open windows but more airflow for both temperature and moisture management.

Has anyone else bit the bullet to cut a 14"x14" hole in their topper to install an RV vent fan like maxxaire or fan-tastic vent fan? It seems like I'll need to add an extra wood trim ring inside for thickness to screw/bolt the fan down to.

Awesome set-up! I load my dogs in the back too and have noticed they are leaving nail marks all the spray-in bedliner. Is that a custom cut carpet or did you make it yourself? I have been putting an old futton back there for them on the long journeys, but would love something like that carpet. My German shepherd's favorite spot is on top of the wheels wells though hahah

That is a BedRug Mat XLT. So far no issues with nails. Working great.

That is why I trade in my 2018 CM. I wish I found a DC in cement but this was the best I could get. The extra bed length and height is perfect for me. I do miss our identical trucks

You can get a version of the fans made for Fiberglass mounting with the inside thinner trim ring as part of the kit.
I have had several Fiberglass RVs like Scamp & Casita and this is what we use in those!

I considered it, but like the lines better with cab height. Might be different if I was sleeping in it a bunch.

I'm really liking it. It has the positive airflow vent which keeps it dust free on our gravel roads in Minnesota. I also do a lot of ice and rock climbing in remote places and its burly. its metal. I feel like it won't break if I look at it wrong.

Slightly random question, do any of you guys with tops have a front and rear dash cam set-up? Just wondering what you guys have and how you like it. I want to get one but am worried about running a usb cable from the front camera to the rear. Doubt most will even reach.

Hey guys picked up a used cap last week. Really need it with my carpentry business and needing the rear seats for car seats. Its used, and cheap for around here, also has a felt liner. I do need to get a new lock and latching mechanism but it works for now. Model is a Nomad II.

    Looks nice!

Off Topic... Are those the OEM steelies painted in Bronze?

Have any other pics of them? or a thread where I can see them.

    Thanks in advance.

Yup you got it, they're the stock steelies. I will get a close up pic for you tomorrow. I use the rustoleum metallic cans and I think this was rust or rustic mist. Super efficient cans, used 3 to do all 4 rims including a good coat on the inside. Probably 10-12 coats per rim.

Picked up a Swiss fiberglass cap awhile back. Listing said for the double cab, but the fitting was just a little off length and width wise. Wish the color matched but I can't complain for the price. Recently worked on the seal between the bed rails and cap since there was some water intrusion near the front side. With it raining this weekend, its still leaking a little bit. A couple days ago, I installed some roof rails and cross bars that I took off of a GMC Yukon at the local pickapart. Yesterday, I went and bought a RTT.

Midrise used Leer that I scored for $800. Carpeted, fold down front window, power supply and light. Came in silver, debated color matching it but decided to sand down and sprayed with Raptor bedliner spray. I am really liking it so far. Thanks to everyone on this forum for endless ideas and inspiration.

ARE cx classic. Pretty decent. Dealer put a couple of marks when mounting and still gets some water in around the rear door.CD694883-03BE-48CB-BC22-C7E63803DE1D.jpg

Looks good on your truck. Wish mine had the winddoors like yours. Hopefully the dealer addressed the marks and solves leaking problem. Thing should be watertight if you purchased it new.

Thank you. I have had five or six toppers over the years and never one that I would consider watertight. Not sure what others experience is but whenever I go into one of the gas station car wash they have always let some water in. I always put in a tailgate seal and various strips of rubber to make it better...but so far I just live with it.
