That looks spot on, sweet ride, thanks for the Intel. How's the wear been on ur Nittos? I liked em but my old heavy Chevy ate em up.

So far so good. I've had Nitto Trail for over two years, and it still looks new. But then again, I don't rack up too many miles.

Got the suspension installed last week, spent a few evenings on it after work but was relatively easy. Icon stage 5 2.5 with remote resi's front and rear, billet UCA's, front diff drop and Icon rear leaf pack. 295 70 18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on Fuel Pump +20 offset 18"x9" rims. Took it to yota dealer for alignment n came out well within spec (UCA's came set up for common alignment spec so no further adjustments were needed on them). No pics of it yet but installed the TRD dual exhaust, the sound is perfect, not too loud. Just have to address the front bumper, looking at flat black center bumper and color match bumper ends. I also just installed the pop and lock auto lock to the tailgate which is an awesome mod I feel the 1794 should come with but I digress. Just hit 300 miles lol, trying to talk my brother into throwing the stock rims/tires on his '14 Platinum along with the TRD shocks I took off mine. He is undecided but too cheap to follow suit.

Great looking truck. You have the cleanest garage I've ever seen.

Thanks, I may have gone a little overboard with the finished drywall, colored metal surround and recessed led can lights but being my own contractor I can be as OCD as I want to be right...

I'm not disparaging anyone's love of the 1794, it was in fact the first one I test drove. I like the Tundra and ended up buying one in fact. I just couldn't get to like the color of the interior. While comfortable, I felt like like I was sitting inside a bag of Doritos. For those who don't know, the leather inside the 1794 is orange. I ended up with the Platinum, I really like the black diamond pattern.

Personally, I love it. When my wife and I test drove this one we both agreed that the interior is a selling point for us. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

Edit: It has toned down over the course of the years into more of a saddle brown color.

Absolutely. Just like when I see a truck that has the bright orange paint job for example (saw one yesterday). To each their own, just like some like super lifted trucks, I think they look great but they aren't for me. Again I wasn't disparaging anyone's like for the 1794. I am more than happy with my dark grey exterior and black interior.

These mods came with the truck. I really like what the previous owner has done to the truck already. I would like to have the truck leveled somehow. The truck has a Flowmaster racing series 10 muffler that is extraordinarily too loud for my taste. Any advice on those two things would be much appreciated.

Mine too has toned down. Probably the main reason I wanted the 1794 was the cowboy style leather. I also like all the accessories that come with her too!

It's merely a package that pays tribute to the JLC ranch in Texas which is the land purchased by toyota to build their Tundra manufacturing plant, hence the ranch theme and corresponding color, a true Texans truck indeed lol well it is the only truck made in Texas. Obviously to each their own but I surmise people like it for that very reason, would be like me looking to buy a Platinum and saying it looks too fancy for my tastes, kinda says so in the name haha.

Must be the cooled seats that won you over lol. I like the Pro but figured I would rather pay a little more for the 1794 and put the suspension, rims and tires on it that better suit my tastes and get the best of both worlds.

I'm a fan of chrome, and yes, sunroof, cooled and heated seats, folding mirrors all played a part in my decision.

I needed the motorized folding mirrors since I have to park inside the garage and knew it would be a major PITA if I had to get out everytime to fold/unfold them. My wife liked the color of the 1794 better than the all black of the Platinum and she liked the chrome grill. So it was the 1794! And for some reason it there were a lot more 1794s shipped to SoCal than Platinums.

Yah it wasn't very difficult, having the fender flares on I had to take out the 3 forward most screws so there was enough play to get the small farings off under the headlights. But hindsight you really just need to take the two plastic push clips that holds the inside of each one and there is enough room to pull out and get at the upper bumper bolts without taking them off completely. But if you don't have flares they pop right off easy enough. Required a little dremmeling on the sonar sensor holes to get them to sit flush but a little goes a long way. I was debating on waiting until I got the low Pro winch bumper from southern style off road to do the swap as I have to take it off to install that but being that the swap only took about an hour, i figure I can take the bumper off in about 15 minutes.

IMG_3264.jpg IMG_3262.jpg Almost forgot, i installed the spyder tail lights this evening. There were a lot to choose from but these got decent reviews so we shall see how they hold up. The only thing I didn't care for in the design was the push pins on the lower side of each light were about a 1/8 inch too short to clip in like the stock lights did, but the bolts seems to hold enough pressure on the pins so they can't be pulled out.IMG_3257.jpg

    Here's my 2014 1794.

Came with the TRD Pro exhaust. I installed Midnight Black Metallic mirror caps and door handles on Christmas. Still need to decide what to do with the grill... TRD Pro, or 2018 honeycomb...
