I don't think I've posted this here before, but here's a buddies old access cab on 3rd Gen Tacoma wheels. Really good looking wheel in my opinion, just looks silly on the tiny stock size tires they came with.

And then I know this second one isn't a Tundra, but I've seen lots of people with these 4runner trd wheels and I really like them, just not the two tone look. So just posting these black ones for inspiration, as I'll probably own some of these wheels at one point or another due to how many cheap sets I see for sale on the local classifieds. The older trail edition wheels looked better without the black accents I thought.

And then here is my 2006 on the TRD pro wheels it came with. I'll most likely swap these with the FJ 8 holes that are on my 4runner once I'm ready to pony up the cash for two new sets of tires.

Also I just remembered that I bought a bed rug from a guy who had these TRD wheels that he had vinyl wrapped the silver parts, and added an accent on the front wheels.

I've been wanting a set of these TRD pro wheels all the sudden. They're almost overused at this point I just think they have a real good look. Maybe someday I'll snag a set for a good deal. For now I'll roll with my Tacoma TRD offroad wheels.

The SEMA wheels look pretty good to me as well. Definitely a bunch out there. People still want good money for them.

My thinking is, if I’m going to 17’s, I’d go 8” wide for tire selection so aftermarket rather than OEM. Even 7.5” is rather limiting.

most aftermarket wheels cost the same as the SEMA wheels.

aftermarket will also come with better sizes/offsets so you're not limited in what you'll be able to do with the truck.

if I'm right the rocktrix wheels I got were CHEAPER than a set of the SEMA wheels, they're wider and have a good offset for oversized tires.

Yeah they're pretty common on every 6 lug Toyota truck/SUV nowadays. They wouldn't be my first choice if I was buying, but I do like them more than most OEM wheels. FN wheels has some nice lookalikes with better sizes/specs, but just as expensive if not more. My brother bought a set of the newer 4runner style locally for like 400 bucks with tires, so you can definitely find good deals on them every now and again.

I can see that being important depending on use case. I figure a set with some 265/70r17 would set me just about right. Pretty much same size as I have now just an inch bigger wheel.

Saw these while browsing trucks for sale, figured I'd add them here.

I feel dumb for overlooking the half inch width difference but it was too late.

Such a fine looking truck, I think it's probably one of my favorites on the forum. If I had a 2nd 1GT, I'd want it to look exactly like that, same color, same stance, and 2WD.

I was all stoked on 2wd but now I’m prepping for EV hybrid on it so I’ve scrounged up hubs and CV’s. There just isn’t much of any fuel economy benefit for 2wd with Toyota trucks, cost vs benefit really favors 4wd.

I like the TRD wheels better than any aftermarket wheels i’ve seen, hands down.

I came across a few more on Craigslist on 4runner wheels, and a step side on some Tacoma TRD/TX Baja wheels.

This white one probably has wheel spacers as well if those are genuine OEM wheels.

Silver truck on 4th Gen 4runner sport model rims plastidipped black by the looks of it, and then more TRD pro 4runner wheels with wheel spacers it looks like.

Yeah who knows about the wheels, probably no way of knowing without seeing the back side. Yeah I think all three of those trucks looks really good, but I love the stance of the white one. I usually hate step sides, but the salsa pearl with those wheels really looks good.

Yeah good point. Looks like they'd probably be about flush with the flares if it had them.
