    Due to a minor hit from a minivan while my Tundra sat parked minding its own damn business I am in the market for a new front bumper. I’m very proud of how passive I was with the whole incident only having the truck for a few months now. I must say that $1,000+ for a bumper is insane. For a one-off custom maybe but mass production NAH! DV8 bumpers look nice and I’ve read good reviews along with a few bad ones. And their price is closer to what a bumper should be.

    C4 fab, slightly higher but looks 100x better and more finished/ flowing than the cheaper bumpers. A few of the ones posted with the new westin look better than other options in the sub $1,200 category...

    I was also considering the Move weld it yourself bumper. Pretty good design but it’s even higher than a finished and shipped DV8. I am a fabricator by trade so might consider just building my own. Might be a good break from the norm of what work wants and build something I want.

    The panels underneath the headlight will rub against the bumper when the body flexes relative to the frame. I know because I have the same issue. I let ADD modify the bumper but they just f@#4 it up. They ended up giving me a new one to modify myself. I will show you my mods and compare it to their mods once I'm done.

    Yeah, I heard that the tolerance was tight. I’m not as much of a Rock crawler, more like a camper/fishing man so I don’t expect to have myself in a situation where I might have to worry much. Look forward to seeing what you come up with though :thumbsup:.

    I don't do rock crawler at all, only easy to moderate off road and it still rubs. The body will generate enough flex just going over speed bump and it will rub.

    I think it’s a putco light strip. Came in a 2 pack from Canadian tire, I’m sure Amazon too. I wired it directly to rear harness and cut out sensors too.
