If you add spacers, will you rub the body mount or other spots? My 295/70/18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss are millimeters away from the control arms at the moment.

not a pro but a SR5 with just +1.9 front so very close to stock pro stance. these wheels have +25 offset so basically the look you would have with 1.5" spacers if you used the factory pro wheel. used coachbuilder bumper shims and removed mudflaps. no bmc no rubbing. i originally wanted a raptor or TRX but when i realized much of that was the look I decided to build my own

Haven't put them on yet, but doesn't look like it at all. I'll confirm when they're on. I do also have the bumper spacers but it doesn't look like I'll need them (I was debating going larger so ordered them in case)

So another non TRD Pro. I have the Bilstein 5100s on the top setting which puts me about where you guys are. My question is about offsets though. The wheel I found is a +1. I don't mind the tires poking out some but I also don't want to hack up my truck too much. I don't mind some trimming here and there. Is anybody running an offset close to that?

I've gotten a killer deal on some Yokohoma Geolander MT's in 295/70/18. I've got a 3/2 spacer lift and stock wheels(2019 limited), so I think it will fit but is the general consensus for 1" spacers? or 1.25??

This might be reviving a dead thread and a little redundant but I’m just exercising caution before dropping nearly $2K on new tires but 295/70/18 WILL fit on stock Pro’s WITHOUT any additional lift or mod?? FlYhanks in advance for your time guys!

The ultimate answer is “it depends”

It depends on the actual tire you get. Not all tires with that nominal size come out to the same actual dimensions from different manufacturers. Some have large sidewall lugs that may hit your UCA. Some are a bit bigger in diameter and may hit your front sway bar at full lock or your fender liner. Run through this thread and note each response with what actual tire make/model they referred to.

Personally, with the Falken Wildpeak AT3W, I had rubbing on my little front mudflap screws and I had a very slight rub on my front sway bar at full lock in a turn. I removed the little mudflap and don’t care around the little shiny spot on my sway bar. I clear my UCA with about 3/4” to spare. Done.

A buddy with an SR5 got the same tires after getting the Iron Man 3” lift with new UCAs and they wouldn’t clear the UCAs he got so he had to get wheels with a bigger offset that then necessitated him getting a body mount chop. So if you’re thinking of changing UCAs you’ll need to consider that.

Aren't you sitting on a Wescott lift also?? Or, was your feedback in reference to your 'pre-lifted' self???

Correct - I now have the Westcott lift as well. But my feedback was referencing "pre-lift"

Thanks! But, now you have me 2nd guessing my replacement tire choice...:mad::mad:

I'll probably just step it down to 285/70s :(

I would’ve gone that size if I could’ve found the tire I wanted in it. Not as many options for some reason

That's the struggle... I want the Wildpeaks, but it's either the 295/70 or 285/75s; both of which I believe will rub a stock PRO. I don't mind removing the front flap, but don't want rubbing on the sway bar or UCA. Ugghhhhh!!!!

Your UCA clearance should be fine with both of those sizes of Falkens - the 285 is a tad narrower even. And for the 295’s, the sway bar is barely a rub at a full hard turn on a stock TRD Pro. Lots of people have them in that setup.

I’m strongly considering the Cooper XLTs. I’ve had the Falkens on my 4Runner before the Tundra and they were a great tire but 90% of my driving is pavement 9% fire roads and probably 1% hard rocky/crawling. I’ve read every page through here and feel fairly confident they’ll fit and work great with removing the front mud flap. I just wanted to double triple check before moving forward. Telling the wife we need new tires is easy enough, convincing her we then “need” a lift to make them work wouldn’t fair so we’ll haha.

295s should work out fine for you. I run the same and there is only rubbing on the passenger side swaybar at full lock. I suspect there will be absolutely zero rub with 285s

higher likelihood of rubbing or cab mount interference. For sure the front fender liner. You're pushing things farther from the rotation point, which means the circle needs to be bigger for the whole thing to turn.

Spacers can cause rubbing issues in other places, plus I don't want the extra wear and tear on the hubs. I'm just trying to keep it simple and clean but add a bit more to the tire.

I'm a bit of a purest in the sense that I bought the PRO to use it and enjoy it as it was engineered; for the most part the truck's design exceeds my needs! But, the factory tire size is a bit small in the wheel wells, and I want a bit more durability in the sidewalls. If my intention was to make mods to the suspension, etc. I would have opted for a lower trim level and spent the extra money on upgrades in the suspension, wheels, etc...

On the other hand, if my Secret Santa comes through and I get a SC for Christmas, all that might change!!!! :santa2:

I’m almost went with 295’s when I first got my Pro. But decided on the 285’s. When ever SCS releases the new F5’s for our tundra’s that wheel will fill out my 285 much better. As much as I thought about going with 33x12:50 on that wheel I think I will stay with the size I have now. Unless I decide to have my tire owner who I deal with mount me a tire on the new wheel to take home and fit test.

I have a 2016 1794 running Cooper 295/70 - 18 XLT AT3 with TRD Pro Fox lift, TRD Pro wheels, and 1" BORA wheels spacers. I also had 1.25" spacers before the 1". Removed the front flaps and used a heat gun / small dead blow hammer to shape the $35 inner fender liners toward the front fender caps (and mud flaps) a bit to eliminate the slight rubbing - easy work. No factory UCA issues and slight rub at full turn on the TRD front sway bar - but not enough to worry about. I wouldn't fret over going this direction too much. Best.
