295/70R18 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 with 1.25inch Spidertrax spacers. Having slight rubbing at full lock but nothing a heat gun and some elbow grease won’t fix.

On mudflap and on front plastic. Red lines in this pic. But already took care of it this morning. I flattened the mudflaps with a heat gun and pulled the front plastic forward and also trimmed a little off of it. Not rubbing at all now.

Did you run the tires/wheels without the spidertrax at all, or installed at the same time?

I had the spacers on before swapping out the tires so no. Didn’t run without spacers. Just seen on here several mentions of no rubbing on mudflaps and the common thing they had no spacers. But rubbing on front sway bar and/or UCA without spacers. I don’t have that problem as I have two fingers wide space from the UCA, Which is roughly 1.25inch and I attribute that to the spacers.

You will rub the skid plate unless you have a PRO skid plate which is narrower. You will also rub the front little mud flap things in front of the tire.

I did the same on my '18 TRD. I pulled the skid plate and used a grinder on the rear corners. Basically rounded off about an inch at the corner and tapered forward and medially. Primer + paint and reinstall. About 2 hours.

Did you need any mods to go with the 35x12.5???
I was looking at 33x12.5 with 1.25 spidertrax spacers

So I got all excited a few days ago because I got my friendly DT to order and install some Cooper 295/70 and patiently waited as they went through the install process. Tried backing out and had some serious rubbing issues to the point reversing out of the bay was next to impossible. Rubbing was mainly on the driver's side at 3/4 lock. Playing around with the steering while sitting there, there was some but nowhere near as much rub on the passenger side. I ended up reinstalling my OEMs.

Any thoughts or pearls of wisdom here?

It was probably just hitting the mudflaps. When it does it sounds like you’re ripping off a bumper.

That's basically the sound it made. I don't have time to do any bending or cutting right now either. What was puzzling to both the tech and myself was the significant difference in rub between the driver and passenger side.

As a side note, I do have 1.25 spacers on the truck

That's kind of what I was thinking but wasn't 100% sure. The calculations in my head said differently but I'm no mathematician.

I had seen a few posts here saying they could (and did) work but I was reading through past posts in this sub and was questioning if there was something different with the tire since NRG seems to work based on size

I have 295/70 Ridge Grapplers and I removed both mud flaps prior to install. I didn’t rub anywhere on the liners, but I had a slight rub at full lock on the passenger side sway bar. I just installed 1.25 spacers and had to heat/push in the front liners a bit to clear. No rubbing at all now.

Take the spacers off or take a heat gun and push in those front liners. You can also get the Coachbuilder bumper shims if you don’t want to use a heat gun. Good luck!

Newb here. I have a 2019 TRD PRO and just traded it in for the 2021 TRD PRO. Heated seats and Push to start are a must need. Anyways, is there not a lift for the TRD PRO out there? Wanting to put 37's if possible. TIA.

Here you go. This is specifically built for the Pro but you will probably still need to do some trimming and cutting to fit 37s without rubbing.

Appreciate that sir. I've reached out to them. Can't really decide to whether go with the 35's or 37's yet.

Not a Pro but I have 5100s on middle setting and Pro wheels. Can I fit 295/70r18?

I'm interested as well. I have a stock SR5 TRD offroad and would like to run 295/70's on the factory TRD wheels with 5100's at middle setting.

For me, personally, with a 3" level I am running 297/70R18's on stock TRD wheels on a 2018 TRD OR. I have a buddy on a 2" level and he's running the same setup. You can fit 295/70's on your setup. You may just need to remove the front mud flaps (don't really need them IMO) and maybe bend or trim the outer sections of the factory skid plate (on a non-pro)
