And, I am confused by your posting.

First as to your #2 above: Falken absolutely makes a 295/70 R18 in the Wildpeak. On my stock height '20 Pro, there is no rubbing and I have made no mods. All flaps in place. Proviso: I am not running spacers. If you decide to put spacers on, you most likely will get rubbing on the fender liner just behind the bumper. Did you mean to write 285/70 here?

As to #1 above: "Falken folks say there is a run on sway bar". Can you explain what this means? I can't speak about the Nitto's, but I have no clearance issues on the sway bar or UCA. Again, I'm running the OEM wheels and suspension. The diameter of the Falken in 295/70 R18 is 34.3" stated. My diameter measurement comes out at 34 1/4". So pretty much as advertised. And, just under 12" wide measured at 40 psi.

#3 The 285 aspect will give you a taller sidewall. Besides looks, you might have improved rim protection at lower air pressure and with heavy payload. I can't say much else about this because I've never run at 285.

I see a tiny rub mark on the front sway bar with my Falkens, but nothing that concerns me. 2500 miles in them so far, lots of wet pavement and some really icy stuff and they’ve done great. I haven’t gotten them into the snow (yet).

Damn, I must have had several typos. Sorry about that. Yes to your first question. I meant to say Falken doesn’t make a 285/70/18 so it’s practically nitto or bust. (In the Falken/KO2/Nitto range.

    1) I meant rub on sway bar. Just about everyone that bought 295/70/18 says the Falken hits the sway bar at full lock or in reverse. Glad to hear you haven’t but I feel I have seen most say they have. I have seen several say the Nittos clear. And when comparing it appears the Falken are slightly larger than the Nittos in the same size?

The 285 seem more expensive than the 295 offerings.

I am really wanting Wildpeaks (for price and wet driving). Had the Nittos on my Titan and loved them for 30k but after they were loud. The wet performance was not as good as I had hoped as well. I live in Nashville and we get wet more than anything else.

i am also planning on staying stock suspension and no spacers of any kind. Just want best looking/performance tires on stock.

How much damage do we think the rubbing of the Wildpeaks is causing on the sway bar? Long term? Just visual? Or any stress one would be concerned with long term?

Not enough for me to worry about it.
Every morning, I back up with a full wheel turn to the right to back out of my parking spot. This is the front right side of my sway bar... there’s a small rub spot and a speck of paint that’s worn.

So Discount Tire won’t Install 295/70/18 because “they don’t fit”. Where are y’all going to get them installed?

Discount Tire here had no issues with installing mine. Gave me a hell of a deal too - price matched an out-of-stock Walmart ad from a cached Google search and cut half the price off the extended warranty certificates. And they had them in stock (I was planning on having to order them to the local store) and put them on that evening (stayed open an extra half hour to do it).

I have no complaints about my 295 falkens. Yes the rub swaybar at full lock, but barely. It's never been an issue for me though. How many times are you turning full lock, just turn back a hair and your good.

Called another store and they will do it.
Here is my last question before pulling the trigger. I have no clue how many miles y’all drive. In a normal non-covid year I’m a 40k-45k miles/year guy. It really is my mobile office. This past year only like 25k miles. That said would any of you fear the amount of rubbing that these 295/70/19 put in sway bars with that much driving? Obviously it only contacts at full lock but one wound deduce more locks with more driving. Anyway, any reason not to with that many miles a year? Or I’m worrying about nothing?
    Thanks.

I’m 25-30k a year. Not worried about it. You’ll be replacing them in just over a year with that kind of mileage anyway.

Sorry. Yeah, I figure that even with that kind of miles I wouldn’t be worried about it. You’ll be wearing faster, but that’s like anything else on the truck. You’ll also have ample opportunity to inspect it as well.
If you’re putting those sort of miles on the truck, I’m also willing to bet you aren’t city driving all those miles, so you’re probably not doing as many hard full-stop turns either.
And hey, if the bar starts to wear too much for your comfort, replace it with the TRD front sway bar. ;)

ha yeah. Yes when I’m racking up that many miles it’s a lot of highway mikes and hotel parking lots. So probably not a lot of full lock situations.

No issues at all with the tss, I also drive about 40-45k a year all highway and have no issues with tire and I haven’t had any issues with rubbing at all. You may be overthinking it a bit bud.

The only “issue” I can think of is your cruise settings and speedo not being accurate because of the tire size change.

lots of people with TSS and bigger tires not having problems.

Got the Wildpeaks today and they look great. Looking forward to see how they are in wet as my Nitto Ridge Grapplers looked the Best, imo, but were not great in wet weather and in wet pavement.

    2 things:

    1) when you hit a pot hole or something on the ride, these 295s sound way different. Almost like “oh shite” at first. Totally different than stocks. (Also my firs time with this big a tire. Had 275/75/18 on my Titan)

    2) discount tire told me to air them at 35 psi. I had read several here say because they are 10 ply and so on they needed to be 40psi or better. I asked them specifically and they told me the manufacturer recommended 30 but based off what listed in the tundra and these tires 35 should be perfect.
    Thought?

I’m running ~37psi cold (they warm up to about 40 by the time I get to work). 3300 miles and running great so far.

Toyo ATIII installed this week. The previous owner must have pulled the front flap. So it might have rubbed there. I'm not sure. No rub. Love the look.
I have a pedal commander that was set at sport 2 with the old tires and was a little touchy sometimes. With the new shoes I can tell the difference from the weight but it works. Smoothed out the touchiness at that setting. Speedo is a couple miles off at 70. I was contemplating getting Bora 1" spacers just from reading the comments here, but I have about 3/4 inch clearance. 40psi. Don't know the hit I'll take in fuel yet. Was going to try and get a feel for it with a little road trip this afternoon but can't get away from work early today.
