Have been concerned about rear legroom in the new models, as it seems to have shrunken a little...

My 14 DC had 34.7" according to the specs, and the 22 DC has 33.3"... My question is how is this measured? With the front seats all the way back, or somewhere in the middle?

I don't generally drive with my seat all the way back, but where I had it positioned in the 14 left anyone sitting behind me wishing for a little more room to stretch out...

Luckily my wife is a bit vertically challenged, so the kid should be good behind her... But in the rare instance we have additional company, it'd be nice to know exactly how much tighter it might be...

Front-seat legroom: Measure from the footwell to the point where the backrest meets the seat bottom

Rear leg room is the horizontal distance between the rear and front seatback, with front leg room set at 40 inches.
These are measured using a 5' 9" passenger as a guide.
