I went Vland Recently. They're sequential.
    https://vlandshop.com/product/14-21...l-lights-with-dynamic-welcome-lighting-clear/

    ***Update***
I feel I must update my post here to warn the community. I had a tail light that arrived with a chipped corner. I reported the problem to VLAND.

Here is the same update I posted on another Thread:

VLAND customer support is terrible. They take days to respond and keep telling me they are busy and they will check on it. It has been 25 days since I reported the problem and they still have not sent over a shipping notice. I really like the lights, but I cannot recommend them now that I've had this problem. It really feels like they're blowing me off hoping I'll drop it.

I'll update with the final result. I told them they have one more week or I'll have to dispute the charge.

I have the HiRev taillights, so far they've leaked and one of the led banks has gone out on my left side. I had these less than a year and probably only about 5000 miles on them. HiRev said they'd replace my taillight at full cost. LOL

This and my truck is garage kept and I don't wheel it.

Another vote for Morimotos. Although, my reasoning is because they are the only aftermarket that I could find that provides options for all of the OEM lighting (headlights, fog lights, 3rd brake light, and tail lights) and if you really care - puddle lights. I initially went through VLEDs and some cheaper aftermarket alternatives but overall I like the look of Morimoto's design language.

Recently, I had to repurchase one of the tail lights as I damaged it recently. Spoke to their customer service department and they were mostly helpful. I say mostly because there are some quirks that come with a huge 3rd party manufacturer where sometimes the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand.

Another good thing about them is the fact that they do come out with QC fixes and changes. For instance, their gen 1 head lights only had white only DRLs and released their gen 2s to have an amber option and on their tail lights, there was an issue with the holding tabs not holding after some time and they revised the design to have a more solid structure. I posted a photo showing the three different design cues they used through their process.

If I were to stick with OEMs, I would definitely go the TRD Pro blackout LED head lights with the IHacker harness and Hot Tails design for the tail lights with VLEDs.

Edit: I also forgot to mention on the gen 2 head lights, they went from a dual LED low beam to a triple LED low beam and recently noticed (recently, like in the past year) that their head lights have a start up sequence that slowly brighten the three LEDs in sequence. Subtle, but nice.

Forgive my naivety and lack of reading... does any brand have the "longevity" factor going for it?

Sorry to bump this after months of inactivity... I'm going to do the HotTails conversion in the next month or so and love the smoked housings you have. I think they'd complete the look I'm going for on my truck. Are these the housings you got? (https://www.extremeterrain.com/tundra-oem-style-tail-lights-dark-red-9039560.html) How have they held up with keeping moisture at bay?

Mtkey,, yes the Extreme Terrain OEM style housings are the ones pictured on my Tundra. I have been well pleased with both appearance and weatherproofing of these lenses. I have not had any moisture problems.

On my new to me 2020 limited DC .

I bought 4 LED bulbs from super bright lights.com to change out the rear bulbs for extra visibility. For the tail brake I bought red. from superbrightlights.com

After I learned how the tail housing is removed I labeled the sockets and changed the bulbs.

THAT's WHEN THE TRUCK WOULDN'T START. APPARENTLY I BLEW A drivers side fuse block 10A fuse - - - - - which kills the link to the starter and the truck was dead in the water. That OPEN CIRCUIT DISABLED the starter motor . It showed a RED dash battery icon to show .

    be careful

I always see aftermarket taillights on Toyotas and think how cheap and silly they look.

I went this route (LED bulbs in stock housing) on my last Tacoma and plan to do the same on my Tundra soon.

Keeping the good looking and quality stock housing but getting a bit of an improvement on the light output is a sweet spot to consider.
