Has anyone done this with a switch in the cab. I saw on TW someone did this but wired it to the interior dome light. I would want it on its own circuit with a switch in the cab. If anyone has seen this done or knows where I can get more info on it, could you post up the link

3 inch mixed component lift. Front locker, rear e-locker, 33 inch tires, custom dual batteries, 140A alternator, custom paint, many other mods to come!
There are several threads on TW as I recall where they have a switch control for the bed light strips. It's really a very easy thing to include. One of the guys on TW sells the bed kits with a switch option included. Not sure if the bed lengths will make much of a difference.

Is there any particular reason you want it switched from the cab? I did mine using a magnetic security door contact so the lights come on when I open the camper shell door. I took the constant power coming into the shell light, ran the negative lead through the switch (make sure you use a switch that is open continuity when the magnet and switch are together) and voila! My strips come on when I open the shell.

I see that member hasn't been active in awhile, so I'll have to do some digging... They had a somewhat informative video on the subject. Not quite sure yet how I'd want it to operate. This maybe a great option... push button?

I now realize too. 4/2014. Still a great idea. The magnetic security door contact shouldn't be that hard to get.You also can rig it on your tailgate. Lights on when gate drops. Nifty.
