Been thinking about getting some led drls, I've seen the spyder and rosta drls with the new panels...look good but don't look like they put out much light. Could go the cheaper route and get universal drls...chime in on this or show me some pics of what you did.

These drl's are not designed as the primary driving lights. It's true that they don't produce much light. But they are very difficult to not notice for the oncoming cars.

I have 2010 with panel type leds. Be careful. Once you get LEDs, your stock lights will look very yellow in comparison. So I ended up installing white light halogen bulbs to better match them.

Here is a picture with stock bulbs.

With Philips Crystal Vision (not a perfect match, but a better match)

Here is with just LEDs on

I have Morimoto H4 HIDs and I also have Morimoto fog lights, just want some nice led drls. I also deleted the amber drl by switching out the box.

That's a nice set-up. To be frank, I do like the panel type leds on 2nd gen Tundras. I've seen similar ones for the 3rd gen and they seem odd to me. I like those single row led bars that fit into the 3rd gen grille though. That will go well with your Headlight and fog light set-up.

I agree, if they would of made the drl follow the contour of the light would of looked a lot better.

They will be on every time you start your truck and they will be white.

Crack the headlights open and put a strip in the filler panel pretty simple process just kinda scary at first if you have never taken a lens off a light before

Or find some platinum headlights for a good deal on eBay that would be my next choice

Yep I would to. That's your best option I've seen used platinum lights with oem dtrl strip for as low as 99$ a light on eBay

I don't think the platinum lights are plug and play in the SR5s...so, you'd need to figure out the wiring.

Really? I need to look into this option then. I like the white LED strip DRL on the platinums and 1794s.
