cool 4runner, but how much gas are you saving vs how much did you lose? there's gotta be a delta between cost of new vs old vs gas right?

You might have missed the point?

Mpg was only a decision factor in not getting a new tundra. The trd pro tundy would have been more money

Tell us more about the cut angle in the bumper. It looks like there is black trim over it? Did you do that yourself or buy something to make it happen?

Beautiful rig ma’dude. I have both, and love both about equally. Only problem now is trying to not buy the Pro suspension for the Tundra.

If you haven’t gotten one, Pedal Commander made my 4R so much nicer to drive.

That thing is nice. I had a 4runner back around 2006. I've always missed it

I like the 4Runner, I think it’s the most off-road capable vehicle Toyota makes. No not the landcruiser, the landcruiser is too wide and has weak approach and departure angles, 4Runner has more ground clearance, 17” wheels stock on off-road models. I might buy one unless the new 300 series landcruiser goes back to it’s off-road roots not the luxury only 200 series version we get here in the US.

Not to be the bearer of bad news about Japan’s build quality but I got rid of a 2017 4Runner (2 1/2 years ownership original owner) months ago because I had bubbling paint and rust all over the truck. Toyota agreed to paint it but I felt it was too much to correct. I am not sold on Japan’s quality but on Toyota’s I am...the truck was equality as solid as my Tundra, Highlander, Corolla, and all 3 of my past Tacoma’s.

Congrats OP! That truck is gorgeous and at times I do miss my 5th gen.

the paint is absolute garbage, no doubt.
as far as rust, that’s been an issue on most all Toyota’s. Tundra had frames recalled for it.

as far as overall quality, I would never buy a vehicle that wasn’t a Toyota. I just don’t think the other brands compare to quality, despite how many gadgets they have to entice you.
