With the virus, there's a lot of people moving travel money to other things. Since planes and cruises are kinda sketch right now, people are doing other things like broverlanding and off-roading. These activities are more conducive to maintaining health and reducing risk. I was chatting with an old friend that owns a tire and suspension business and he said he's mad busy with suspension upgrades and off-road wheel and tire packages. He's got a list of people waiting on parts that's just getting longer and longer. His customers are citing the virus as a motivation to get work done on their trucks.

I got Kings for my land cruiser over the winter from Filthy Motorsports, and they didn't take that long. They actually came quicker than anticipated. Things seem to have changed.

I was surprised I got them so quick but they said that King already had them. They were supposed to be ordered with 700# coils and came with 600#. They were going to send me the coils and let me swap them out and send back or I could just send back and they'd do it. I hope that I don't have to wait that long.

Hell, I ordered a front bumper from CBI Offroad in August and my ship date is November 27th, Hopefully all my stuff comes in at the same time and I get a good weekend of modding.

All King has to do is swap the coil springs. I hope they have a set in stock.

I have my rear shocks sitting the garage, I'm tempted to go put them on. Now I want to get a custom Alcan spring pack. Alcan said they can get them made and shipped out pretty quick.

    Thanks

I talked to my suspension guy about the Kings OEM performance shocks for the front on my 2020 Tundra. He called me yesterday and said which ones did I want, with or without compression adjuster. Either one would be her by Monday. I chose the ones without the adjusters....so apparently there is a set with adjusters out there....

If you order something that is in stock somewhere then your good. I ordered a set that was specifically for a Pro Comp 7 inch lift. Initially they found a set in stock but I had to send them back due to a mistake.

they told that their supplier of their coils was backed up FWIW.

I ordered my kings for a 6" pro comp in July was told 6-8 weeks. I called kings last week and was told 17 more weeks for a total of like 30 weeks at least. I called 4wd parts and he said fox was backed up even worst but I don't know if its true.

Yes, king and fox are seriously backed up. Was being quoted a 6 month back order. I managed to find one dealer who had one set left. Not sure why the massive back order but maybe someone else has some insight.

The entire off-road industry has seen a huge wave of sales, larger than anyone could predict. Since no one is safe flying or doing long distance trips, many have chosen to upgrade their vehicle and go on road trips/off-road trips etc. We are constantly ordering shocks from Fox and King on the daily, so we try out best to have a steady flow of shocks coming in. However, even most of the stocking orders are all sold before they even get in. The demand is real! :)

Yeah and boats. I heard a big percentage of boat manufacturers are out of inventory also. At least there was never a shortage on Budlight lol.

I work in the marine industry and you are correct. When the pandemic and lockdowns first hit back in March, almost all in the marine industry started laying people off to save cash in anticipation of a depression. Thirty days later, a surge in business started to arise. This caught everyone off guard and was not prepared for this level of business. Right now, there is not a new boat being manufactured that is not already sold. Most new orders are looking at a next Summer or Fall delivery.

Congrats I guess. Only 3 more months. I hope their as good as advertised. I ordered my fronts Aug. 4 and my backs last month. I got sick of waiting and just had it lifted with pro comp shocks. Im glad I did cause it rides good and now im not freaking out over the kings as much.4WD parts said they would put the kings on for $200 when they come in.
