That is not even a $64k picture of a truck. I do find it funny that he is asking that much but it would be terribly sad if he actually got full asking price.

I mean, dad's buying my '05 with 200,000km on it for $15K and that's the family pricing. On the open market I wouldn't take a penny under $18K at today's prices.

Yeah, pricing is nuts. I was looking at used 2018's to 2020's and they're all $50K - $55K and up, usually with 75,000+ kms on them and that's if you can find one. I put a deposit on a '22 which was $58K.

 

thats crazy, 5 years ago I sold my 2006 4dr limited tundra for $14k. It had 180000 km though so yours is pretty low km for the year. I drove it for 2 years and sold it for what I paid, thought I did pretty good on that one.

 

I sold my 2003 Tacoma in 2018 for $18k. I am confident that I could have got $25k in today's market.

You did good for sure. My truck is rust free and has a ton of work done to it as well. On top of being anal with maintenance I've done a full paint correction, got upgraded shocks, new leaf springs, sumo springs, steering rack, genuine TRD SEMA wheels, LED headlights, LED interior lights, back up camera, headunit with android auto, 2 way remote start, truxedo cover, Thule TracRac SR and the list goes on. The truck has another 300,000kms in it, easily. Part of the deal with my dad is that when he decides he doesn't need a truck anymore, I get to buy it back from him.

 

shes a beaut and well put together for sure. The seats are amazing, the interior space was welcoming, power was perfect, 6.5’ bed, roll down rear window.. Too bad they stopped making them

 

Yeah. Part of me doesn't want to sell it. But dad needs a truck again and with a kid on the way, The Woman wanted something more modern, a bit bigger and with updated safety features. I'll get my old truck back again someday though.

 

the safety is nice, never thought traction control and anti skid were usefull until I had it. Nice piece of mind when ddriving icy roads.

 

She's a big fan of the adaptive cruise control too. When we did the test drive, she also said she felt more comfortable and confident driving the '22 than my '05. I thought that was odd because she had no issue driving my 2013 F150 supercrew with a 6.5' box. I think it's because the '22 handles smaller than it is and has better mirrors than my '05.
